Shot a match today and found the answer to a decades old debate. Who is better, Slayer or Metallica? Now, many people think this is subjective, but what I have here is irrefutable proof.
I've added notations to my target to note which band I was listening to when shooting that bull. You'll notice the scores were higher for Slayer.
Even with 1 extra bull, Metallica only came up with 700 points, for an average of 53.8. Slayer kicked ass with 1050 points, averaging 87.5.
To be fair, Metallica was sans Cliff Burton, so make what you will of that variable.
Slayer Rules. Case closed.

Running suppressed with an 8.5” barrel, curious what brands and grains are preferred for both super’s and subs! Typically shoot AAC 150g supers & 220g subs.

Hey everyone, I’m looking to purchase a 300BO upper for hunting whitetail this year. Im located in the southeast and any shots will be within 100 yards. Looking to swap out my 556 upper on an existing rifle lower. I’m currently between 2 options the CMMG Resolute 16” or the KAK 16” w/ 15” MLOK. If you’ve own either of these, what do you think? Are there any other options I should look at in the $700 price range?

Title basically. I have a spare AR15 stripped lower, and would like to do a sort of DMRish type build with it. Or at least the best I can with an AR15 platform.
Goal would be target out to 500-600yds, and some hunting, though it would be more like 200-300 I think.
Obviously the go-to would be a standard gas system, but I started to think about a bolt upper a little bit.
Is there any reason I should consider thinking about that, or just keep it standard??
For the purposes of this post, I'm not considering 6.5 creedmoor or .308 etc.. just going to use the spare AR15 stripped lower.

Put the Timney Alpha trigger in my G20.5 and it is amazing!! Took care of my main issue with Glock, the squishy trigger! Now it is super crisp, defined wall and clean break @ 3lbs!
I’ve had the Timney in my G22.3 for a while and wanted to put one in the 10mm but Timney didn’t have a trigger available for the large frame gen 5. Idk how long its been available but I was periodically checking their website to see if they would release an alpha trigger for the large frame gen 5 and last week I came across it! Simply amazing trigger!

I recently got my 30 y/o childhood marlin .22 barrel threaded in preparation to get my daughter into shooting. What type model is this? Im guessing it's a 100 model but I have no idea.
I plan on sanding it down and giving it a new coat. Maybe a new optic too, because that old box redfield isn't cutting it 🤣
My KMR S02 is the best .22 pistol. Fifteen-millimeter groups at 25 m are easy if you can resist the urge to just let it rip. It’s not picky about ammo — this baby eats subsonic rounds with ease without changing the recoil spring.

Anyone with this setup or something near it have a good baseline on the number of rotations or clicks I should start with on the SA Adjustable gas block?
Thank you

Just got in a brand new round from Phantom loaded with the Maker Rex 242gr. They say it needs a 1:5 twist to stabilize, but JBM calculator says it’s good in a 1:7. I’m going to test it out this weekend

I built a 300 BO and was initially having trouble getting it to cycle consistently with Winchester super suppressed ammo which I have a ton of because it was so cheap. My initial thought was cut down on buffer weight but I had an aluminum BCG just hanging out and it's been running great ever since. My main concern is the longevity of the carrier and was wondering if anyone had any experience with lighter weight BCGs that don't cost an arm and a leg?

Looking at Ruger American Rimfire for my first bolt action. Specifically the # 8348. I like that it is optic ready, extended mag release, threaded and of course accepts all my Ruger Charger mags. Might be on the heavy side but I think I’m ok with that. Reasonable price. Does anyone have any opinions, advice or input? Thanks.

I have a vortex venom 5-25x56 on my Grendel. Primary arms 20 moa mount. Looking for recommendations for a red dot top mount that will clear the 5-25x56. Red dot recommendations welcome too but I’m leaning towards an RMR or ACRO.

It will be mainly used for 100yards/meter target shooting

What's the latest trigger recommendations for the Tippmann M4? I have a later model considered gen 3 with serial over 75k. I'm looking for reliability as well as a crisp break. Considering the CMC 2.5lb trigger. Good to go? I have SSA-E triggers in my AR and love them but read they're a no go. I've read the Larue can work but hit and miss reports of needing to change the hammer to the stock hammer. I'd like a one and done drop in solution. A common complaint I see is light strikes when going after market. Looking to avoid that.

It’s definitely Not Match Grade Ammo
Made a post a week or so ago regarding the heavy trigger in my CZ457 MTR which was breaking around 3 1/4 lbs and didn’t seem to lighten up when adjusting the set screw in the trigger.
Got a lot of recommendations for a Yo Dave trigger spring kit.
Installed one today. Wow, trigger now breaks right around 1 lb and feels excellent. For $29 shipped from Canada, I think it’s hard to go wrong. Heading to the range on Sunday to really test it out.
