Mamdani’s win should be the NEW standard!

Eliminate all these pathetic, weak Democrats who do NOT have any of our values!

These people need to be primary’d and replaced ASAP!

You can NOT be the opposition party and fucking agree with them!

Get all of them OUT!

2026 needs to be a reckoning for this shit!

If the Democratic Party won’t change we will FORCE them just like Trump did to the GOP.

Cowardice, complacency, and incompetence will NOT be tolerated any more!

Fuck all these clowns!

11

u/Willdefyyou Jun 27 '25

Yes!!! They have to go!

Time to remind them who the fuck they work for

21

u/Hemmschwelle Jun 26 '25 edited Jun 26 '25

Candidates like Mamdani could lose in swing districts where old guard Dems have 'safe seats'. Those old guard Dems do in fact share your values, but they keep a low profile to keep their seats in swing districts. They know that Trump is not impeachable at the moment. They're bidding their time as Rs crash and burn. That's how Dems win control of Congress in midterms. The opposition typically takes control of Congress in the midterms.

Republicans love that Mamdani is going to win in NYC. One of their best bets is to leverage his progressive views to defeat the Ds in the midterms.

24

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

I agree. We need to truly be a big tent party to break through the misinformation that the middle of the electorate hears. They need to know that communities that love superlib policies are free to do their thing, and middleground communities do the same - everyone at their comfort level. No shaming either side for disagreeing, just get that dang majority and fix what's broken! :)

10

u/Ill_Good_3850 Jun 27 '25

Yes, yes, YES! Exactly. Why doesn't EVERYONE see this, understand this???

2

u/WhatheFisthis Jun 28 '25

Because you're not gonna fix much with diet maga dems that want to continue to allow corporations and other countries to run our country via their dark money donations.

It sounds to me like you want to just go back to 8mo ago when biden was still president and you'd be fine with that. The only problem is people were suffering under biden too.

1

u/SandyAllnock Jun 28 '25

What we all need is a majority. Whatever THAT takes, I’m for. Some districts are conservative and will never vote a progressive in. Having a progressive minority still gives us zero power. And I hope everyone is finally seeing how bad zero power is.

2

u/WhatheFisthis Jun 28 '25

Allowing weak-ass centrist dems to take over is the problem. How quickly you forget how much trouble Mitch McConnell caused for Obama as minority leader in 2009. If spineless Schumer and Jeffries were fighting the Republicans the way McConnell did back in the day, it's possible that things might not be as bad as they are right now. Instead, they have decided to at best roll over and play dead, and at worst, support the Chump regime by voting for his cabinet picks and other things. It's pathetic and I'm sick of them getting away with it while they pad their pockets with AIPAC money and insider stock trades.

29

u/NoAnt6694 Jun 26 '25

Well, it's going to take all kinds to take this country back. Establishment Dems, progressives, reasonable Republicans, and others will all no doubt play a part.

42

u/GirlwthCurls Jun 26 '25

We can’t talk party anymore, it’s about ideology. There is MAGA fascist, classic conservative, progressive liberal, and classic liberals.

13

u/Houseofmouse99 Jun 26 '25

They're not trying to hold onto those seats for us. Wake up. They're holding onto those seats and laying down like lapdogs because they want to keep the power and the money. If they had any morals in common with me whatsoever, they would find the idea of sitting quietly while people are carted away to torture camps Just To Have Personal Job Security, and not just any old job but a cushy well paying job at that. absolutely vomit inducing. I could never do it. And frankly I find anyone who can or does vile and repellent. Complacency is murder, especially when you have power and or wealth. With either of those, you could do Anything and it would have an effect almost immediately and it would be impossible for them not to know that, as we're seeing from the exec admin. They arent lying low for anyone but themselves, dont fool yourself into thinking otherwise

9

u/Hemmschwelle Jun 27 '25 edited Jun 27 '25

Yah, no. This answer gives you even less credibility as a person who genuinely wants the Democrats to take control of Congress in 2026. I don't think you understand 'swing districts', the places where Ds hold power by a very small margin that comes from right of center. Ds need the right-of-center votes to win. The Democrat Caucus almost always votes as a block. The sitting Dems are reliable votes. Their motives are irrelevant. Ds have a few pragmatic leaders, and a few rabble rousers. We just need a few more Ds to win elections and vote against Trump.

If you want Ds to win, get more young people to vote. Pointing out the failings of the old farts just discourages young voters from voting.

4

u/Houseofmouse99 Jun 27 '25 edited Jun 27 '25

🤷‍♀️ I certainly agree that we should work with what we have instead of refusing to engage with a system you fundamentally dont agree w bc that obviously wont have an effect on anything (unless its a specific widespread organized effort of some kind probably) and also try to encourage and support up and comers. I imagine there's room for us to meet in the middle, ideolically speaking. I certainly didn't mean to imply that I dont vote or that other people should not. We should all vote supposing we have the option to do so, and thus far, i always have personally

1

u/WhatheFisthis Jun 28 '25

Getting more young people to vote means getting more progressive candidates, hun. That's why people ran to Chump in the first place. They're sick of establishment dems and their money-grubbing, centrist, do-nothing bullshit.

1

u/Hemmschwelle Jun 28 '25

You've fallen for republican talking points. Look at facts and see the Biden admin did a lot. We even would have had 'immigration reform' if, at the last minute, Trump had not killed the bipartisan bill.

2

u/WhatheFisthis Jun 28 '25

I didn't fall for anything. I'm well aware of what Biden did. I'm just not wearing the rose-colored glasses that you are. He could've done a lot more, but he allowed himself to be steamrolled by others on both sides. And in the end, it didn't even matter because Chump canceled it all. There's a reason Mamdani got the mandate he did in New York hun. It's because people want real change, not the half-assed incremental bullshit that does nothing for the many. The people are done with diet maga dems. Get used to that.

11

u/LaserPoweredDeviltry Jun 26 '25

They've had since 2015 or so to try that stratagem.

Since they can't see that it's not working, we need to replace them with more aggressive reps.

2

u/Hemmschwelle Jun 26 '25

Aggressive D reps are impotent when the Democrats don't have the majority vote.

1

u/ratsnest62 Jun 27 '25

Affordable housing? Free public transit? Immigration enforcement that doesn’t constantly create spectacles of wanton cruelty?
These seem like aspirations most reasonable people could support.

3

u/Hemmschwelle Jun 27 '25

Too many voters are not reasonable. They're racist and sexist.

1

u/WhatheFisthis Jun 28 '25

That's because republicans are selfish idiots. Their ideology is "get mine and fuck everyone else."

Establishment dems most definitely do not share the progressive vision. If you believe that, I'd suggest looking up what other NY dems have said about Mamdani's win, Suozzi and Gillibrand, in particular. Everyone was more willing to back Cuomo, a sex pest with a nursing home scandal under his belt who got run out of the governor's office in disgrace than back a man who wants to raise taxes on rich people.

1

u/hurricanesherri Jun 29 '25

Dems are a controlled opposition, meant to trick us into thinking we have a two-party system.

We have one party: the wealth party.

Time to make a hard left.

Love this, Fife, WA!!! It needs to spread...

26

u/theirpowerisover9000 Jun 25 '25

amazing work! if I were closer or had a vehicle I'd come join. sending love from Seattle.

24

u/Do_Not_Comment_Plz Washington Jun 25 '25

Are you guys in contact with Evergreen Resistance? I bet there’d be lots of room for collaboration there

16

u/Imamiah52 Jun 26 '25

To do anything less than push hard for impeachment and indictments is to be complicit with the most corrupt regime this country has ever encountered. Any party that is losing to today’s GOP is some kind of weak sauce phoning it in when they need to roll up their sleeves and do the hard work that the job currently requires. This country needs more than these two parties, they’re like Frick and Frack.

8

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

I hate to agree with the poo poo -ers, but no way the House impeaches nor the Senate convicts. Not now at least. Keep tearing away at his polls until they're ready to break from him, but I still think the most we get is them voting against his terrible bills. We'd be wasting oversight time on a fight that, as we know, can make him rise in popularity. It's SO HORRID to be in this upside down world. We need to hang on for 2026 then unite to quash Maga entirely in 28.

2

u/WhatheFisthis Jun 28 '25

They are two wings of the same bird in this current form. We need to clean house of useless diet maga dems like Schumer and Jeffries who are too busy padding their own pockets with AIPAC money to give a crap about us little people.

2

u/DevilsAdvocate77 Jun 26 '25

Where do the voters fit in all that?

Do we have any responsibility at all for what is happening?

4

u/Pretend_Evidence_876 Jun 26 '25

Some because we do need to vote. But also, the way it's set up is not in the best interest of voters. We typically only have the option to choose the least bad option presented to us. The two party system doesn't really give us options. Votes aren't counted using the STAR or Ranked Choice methods which makes a lot of our votes useless especially combined with gerrymandering and electoral college. In regards to presidency, votes only really matter in swing states. I'm in a solidly blue state so most of our presidential votes don't really matter, the blue candidate is definitely going to win. On a local level, I'm in a purple area so it does matter locally. Write in campaigns rarely work because of all this and end up splitting the vote so the least bad official candidate doesn't win. Officials know that it isn't working in the benefit of voters, but it keeps established politicians in power. I worked with STAR voting for awhile so I know they know. Some Dems even use STAR within their organization but don't help it or ranked choice pass for general elections. There's also the issue of voter suppression and intimidation. We are also often given little to no understandable information regarding what we are voting for. That's one of the benefits of mail in ballots. We're given large informational packets and can research on the Internet and can see who is endorsing the person or policy because even with more information it is written confusingly for anyone not educated in law. It's often downright deceptive.

If all our votes mattered and were truly informed, the general population would be more powerful and more culpable regarding what's going on. I'm not saying we have absolutely no responsibility or accountability! There is a lot stacked against us though so we can't really say that voters are totally responsible for the people in power or policies.

u/jestill Jun 25 '25

Do you have a DIY for how to make signs like this. I saw this style at several no kings marches. This is the kind we had at the No King's rally I went to in Michigan.

17

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

I never knew this existed - they're attached to tall poles, and the letters are on this grid type stuff. We borrowed these banners from another group, but we're doing 3 days a week now and want to be able to change messages quicker. We just bought ourselves poles, and are trying to source the letter material, the grid, the ties, and once I figure it out I'll post a big ol tutorial with links to get the stuff.

5

u/ddlb-cocksucker-ftm Jun 26 '25

Looks like the plastic grid used at construction sites for the "do not cross" bits, some oversized bread/wire ties, and colored tarp.

5

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

The people making them have been trying out different materials - so be careful at guessing what it is. They’ve tried different vinyls, tarps, different ties, and some rip easily in the wind. Some of the letter materials catch the wind more than others and can get unwieldy in even a light breeze.

u/SalmonThread Jun 27 '25

https://www.backbonecampaign.org/banners. - There will also be a free online workshop, Monday, 7/7 if you want to join. https://www.backbonecampaign.org/onlinebanner_20250707

1

u/Efficient_Cobbler514 Jun 26 '25

seconded. How did they make this? Is the background made of chicken wire?

2

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

Not chicken wire—it’s a sort of fabric grid.

2

u/SalmonThread Jun 27 '25

Heavy Duty (plastic) Deer Fencing from DeerBusters (also likely available at farm/garden stores). Since the air can travel through it, the sign doesn't act like a sail in the wind, so it's more secure.

1

u/Efficient_Cobbler514 Jun 27 '25

Thank you, I was trying to figure out the wind issue!

11

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

This is who we got the banner from, and I'm learning how they make these so we can make our own. I'll add a tutorial in 50501 once I figure it out. https://www.backbonecampaign.org/

11

u/esepinchelimon Jun 26 '25

Someone should get plastic skeleton spines and send them to their offices lmao

3

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

6

u/onyxengine Jun 25 '25

Fuck yeah!

7

u/V01d3d_f13nd Jun 25 '25

Too many of them had photos taken on epstien island.

4

u/therapist_7272 Jun 27 '25

Or with a moral compass

3

u/hook3m13 Jun 26 '25

What is this type of banner called? I've been wanting to make one for our work in TX

5

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

I wish I knew! The banners we're using have been borrowed from another group that makes them, and we just bought our own poles to make our own. I'll put a post together with all the supplies once I learn how they make these, and pics of us putting it all together!

4

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

Here's a pic of the back view. I'm finding out what all the materials are called, the group we borrow from is experimenting with different stuff so we're learning!

3

u/hook3m13 Jun 26 '25

Okay, nice! Just this pic alone is super helpful as to the construction. It's hard to get large letters like that looking good - Fine job to the artists!

2

u/SalmonThread Jun 27 '25

There is a template for the letters you can print out, or if you purchase a toolkit, there is a packet of letters on 11x17 cardstock. Check out the DIY page at the Backbone Campaign.

1

u/hook3m13 Jun 27 '25

Ok fantastic. Thanks so much!!!

3

u/RobinG81 Jun 26 '25

This is awesome! Keep calling them out!

3

u/MrsWidgery Jun 26 '25

I dunno. Seems to me, with 535 total reps/senators, a single spine would not go far. Even dividing it up into vertebrae, and leaving aside maybe 10 elected members who still have their own backbones, you'd have to slice that thing pretty thin.

1

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

🤣🤣🤣

3

u/offbeatreality Jun 26 '25

I used to drive thru Fife multiple times a year to visit family! Good to see my home state not fuckin around!!

4

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

WA was the only state that got bluer in the 24 election. Though there’s tons of middle fingers on the highway….

3

u/johnnydico Jun 26 '25

Exactly… they have a job to do to protect the constitution and all they do is sit by idly and do nothing when challenged. It’s pathetic and they should all be forced to resign so people with a spine can take over!!!

3

u/Global_Sun_8106 Jun 27 '25

They need to do this same sign on a over pass in route to the Capital in DC. Its disgusting that 128 Democrats voted to NOT impeach the mad man with no explanation as to why not!

2

u/Dry-Variation1718 Jun 26 '25

Use it or lose it.

2

u/TheResistanceVoter Jun 26 '25

Lol, they're going to need more than one

2

u/Inevitable-Being9292 Jun 27 '25

I beep beeped and waved on my way by

2

u/Ok_Potential_7994 Jun 27 '25

Taxation without Representation. Start withholding tax dollars and vote only for candidates who do not accept AIPAC (or any PAC money) and DO NOT vote Conservative. They have shown us what they are all about. https://nwtrcc.org/

3

u/Daddy_c0at Jun 27 '25

I saw y'all on my way to the airport last weekend, I think it was 💙💙💙

2

u/SalmonThread Jun 27 '25

Backbone Campaign is giving a free workshop Monday, July 7th on how to make these banners, including where to get materials, best tips for deploying, etc. Join us! https://www.backbonecampaign.org/onlinebanner_20250707

1

u/SandyAllnock Jun 28 '25

Thank you!

1

u/Lolomcc Jun 26 '25

Hell yes. They are all cowards

1

u/NutSoSorry Jun 26 '25

We need progressives, and a lot of them. I'm sick of mediocre, geriatric white fucking middle of the road Dems.

1

u/samazon27 Jun 26 '25

I’m local!! I have a couple of friends already participating. They’ve been spreading the word and trying to get support via some of our EMF fb pages. I’m hoping to make it out there and participate at some point, too!

We’ve been holding some local protests in Milton. If anyone on here is interested in those, let me know! ✊🏻✊🏻

1

u/SandyAllnock Jun 26 '25

Lmk if you are ready to come out, I can dm you the schedule to sign up 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

1

u/AccomplishedAd7427 Jun 27 '25

Term limits. People in congress should be making the same amount as their constituents. Median wage of their district. Better their district does, the better they do. They should also have the same capabilities on insurance.

1

u/deerslayer1978 Jun 28 '25

I’m so glad I don’t live in New York….

1

u/Corecreek1948 Jul 02 '25

You should not curse, sinful

-2

u/Alternative_Wall_178 Jun 27 '25

Yo, this is cringe AF.
