Thursday Discussion Thread

Great place for team discussion/whatever Serie A related topics you would like to bring up. Examples: Transfers, rumors, players from other teams, things you miss about the old days etc. Whatever you want as long as it isn't too off-topic.

Also a good spot to ask about the stadium, the city of Milano, bars, fan clubs in your city etc.

Here are some important links for new members:

I’m still bummed no one took Adli. He’s a good guy, I want him to find a competitive new home where he’d enjoy playing while getting paid. I’m even confused why no one took him, based on his Milan/Fiorentina games, he should be a good fit for a mid-to lower level Serie A team and also League 1. He’s French, doesn’t take up a non-EU spot and while we were usually asking for around 10M, I’m sure if a suitor he fancies came in, we would accept a smaller bid just to get him off the books. I understand why teams don’t come in for Benna (injury history+large salary), but Adli, no

It’s not true that no one wants him. He refused to move

Qatar, Russia and Saudi were the only ones that expressed real interest in signing him with a proper bid. All the other clubs (Sassoulo, PL, etc) either never really materialized, or wouldn’t have paid even as low 6-7M for him (Sassoulo). That’s why I said “a competitive new home where he’d enjoy playing”, I’m not faulting someone for refusing a move to Quatar or Russia when he’s capable of playing in one of the top leagues, just not at the top level. Even Fiorentina wanted to exercise the option initially, before the coach situation prevented them.
