Thursday Discussion Thread

Great place for team discussion/whatever Serie A related topics you would like to bring up. Examples: Transfers, rumors, players from other teams, things you miss about the old days etc. Whatever you want as long as it isn't too off-topic.

Also a good spot to ask about the stadium, the city of Milano, bars, fan clubs in your city etc.

Honestly, with all of the shit going on in the club, I just want to enjoy cheering for the team. Kinda makes me miss the whole banter era, yeah, we were bad, but the fanbase made it all worth it.

Been on this sub for probably over 10 years at this point, and it’s sad seeing how negative it’s gotten over the years. Obviously we all want better for the club, but this animosity is not healthy. I think things were better amongst the fan base when it was just those of us in here during the banter era, because at least we all knew we were struggling and it was accepted without all this contempt.

I attribute it to the fact that it felt like “our” team. Like we were ass, but they were our players, now it feels like a hostile entity is controlling things, it’s harder to get emotionally invested

That’s fair, it feels more corporate now. Still being owned by Berlusconi helped with that too; though a controversial figure, he was a part of the Milan fabric for so long that now it just feels like the club has an unknown identity. Would be great if we were fan-owned.
