I knew it ran on Nickelodeon when I was a kid but for whatever reason I always ignored it and chose other shows like SpongeBob instead (huge mistake). So in my adult life I find myself searching for great shows to watch and I constantly look through the IMDB “top 250 TV shows of all time”. And ATLA is the 3rd show on there that isn’t a mini series or nature documentary. I also constantly look through the “top 250 TV Episodes of all time” on IMDB. There only one ever episode rated 10/10, and that’s Ozymandias of breaking bad, and then there’s about 20 9.9/10 episodes, and Sozins comet part 4 is one of them. So the show was very much on my radar for a long time but I just never felt like watching it. Well, I’m also a huge Star Wars fan and I was reading through online lists of “best character arch’s of all time” searching for Darth Vader to get some sort of confirmation bias I guess for one of my favorite all time characters, and Vader wasn’t really on any of the lists, but this Zuko guy was on literally every single list. I decided everyone was basically screaming at me from all corners of the internet, that I needed to watch this show. So I watched it in two weeks over winter break and here I am now, scrolling through the subreddit, because of course the show was absolutely incredible.
