Actually I kind of think ty Lee and aang would have had a good dynamic, simmilar outlooks on things. I think they would have happily rebuilt the air nomads

Aang could spar endlessly with her too, her athleticism and martial arts really do well against his bending and would sharpen his close combat skills immensely. Plus the sex between an airbender and an expert gymnast sounds mindblowing. One of the things that worried me about Katara was I never felt she could keep up with Aang in combat or athleticism, Ty Lee solves both of the issues I had with her as a partner for him.

I honestly prefer Ty Lee over Katara.
