"The Minis" (2009) - In this insane movie a group of dwarves hire Dennis Rodman to teach them basketball. They then team up and we are treated to a 'fastball special' basket and something I am calling 'the 4 story golden tower'. This movie needs to be see by more people, as it is hilariously bad.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbwJBmtD_cY&t=6s"The Minis" (2009) - In this movie a group of dwarves hire Dennis Rodman to teach them basketball. What else do I need to say beyond that? With that information alone you know everything you need to know about this movie. This is going to either makes you piss yourself laughing, or get so unreasonably upset that you burst a blood vessel in your eye. It's one or the other.
If you'd like to hear more, allow me to ramble off some more of the insanity contained within this movie. Rodman clearly got paid by the line, as in several scenes he just awkwardly smiles and gestures. At one point an agent pitches the group (who are dwarves he labels the titular "Minis") to be mascots for a diaper company. In one game, and yes there is more than one, Rodman 'fastball specials' one of the dwarves to make a basket. In another game the dwarves stand on each other's shoulder to make a dunk while glowing with a golden light.
Beyond the cast the editing in this is likely the next most noteworthy aspect. The editor clearly was a big fan of early 90's MTV style scene transitions involving rapid cut assembled clips of cities. The editing is generally poor, but during the basketball games it gets especially out of hand. It also needs to be stated that at one point they use an outline of the movies title (which again is "The Minis") as an expanding screen wipe. I haven't seen that kind a of thing outside a Saturday morning cartoon before that I can remember.
There is far more I could go on about but like I said before, you likely knew if you wanted to watch this after the first sentence. The sheer absurdity of what is going on needs to be seen by more people. Several members of my bad movie group even bought this movie online while we were still watching it. So with all that said I suggest you gather your bad movies buddies and check it out, just bring your favorite intoxicants.
