Tougher Than Leather (1988) Directed by Rick Rubin, this was RUN-DMC's attempted foray into the blaxploitation genre. The Beastie Boys show up to sing their previously unreleased Desperado.

I remember my brother and I were super excited to see this movie because we loved Krush Groove

Krush Groove was great. Just last week I put my VHS copy into one of the local free book things around here. I hope it went to a good home!

I remember watching this movie a long time ago and it wasn't good at all.

This movie was so cool! It’s been decades since I’ve seen it and I had no idea that Rick Rubin directed it

I have that poster and 2 copies on VHS, and even I'll admit it's fucking terrible. I just happen to love RUN DMC, the Beasties, and that whole era of Def Jam rap, in general.

Been trying to get to the bottom of the home video rights forever. Good luck getting a hold of Russell Simmons

Junkyard Band performing “Sardines” was a dope scene too
