I was downtown one day late in May this year shooting handheld macros of various subjects in the city park when I decided to shoot this yellow flower. As I was leaning in over the flower to manually adjust the focus, I already had my finger on the trigger for some reason and accidentally managed to release it before I had even started to adjust the focus.
This lead to this picture shot with a very shallow depth of field, and it's a picture I now hold very dear and close to my heart 🧡 I love how everything in it is so, so soft and smooth in just about every aspect, making it look like an impressionistic painting rather than a photograph. I'm also astounded that it's so free from noise that it seriously looks like it could have gone through 'Noise Reduction' with all parameters maxed out, twice 😂
The photo is fully RAW with no tonal mapping, in other words 'Straight out of camera'. I actually tried to edit it a few times, but nothing I came up with felt as pleasing to me as the RAW pictures does 🥲
Hope ya'll enjoy it as much as I do! Thanks for reading!

Taken during a celebration of life for a woman named Michelle, back in May who was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer, who passed away unexpectedly yesterday.
I was shooting behind the scenes stills for a documentary project about her life. This image was selected by the director as the cover image for festival submissions

On a pristine pee-pad canvas, no less. 10/10 for form and symmetry, 0/10 for taste. Nature’s finest soft-pretzel imitation, rising to the occasion. 🐶💩🥨

I have an interview for an Exhibition Assistant job, which I've never done before.
Can anyone please tell me what an Exhibition Assistant does exactly? I mean what does the job entail, and what does a normal day in this job look like?
