A painting I'm giving to my buddy Matt.

I had some leftover paint in my Split Cup and couldn’t let it go to waste... so I flipped it straight onto the canvas — and WOW! 🌊✨ Using drip-off paint from a previous pour and just a touch of palette knife magic, a cute little sea-inspired acrylic painting was born right in front of my eyes.

Just recently started acrylic painting do relaxing and paint in my spare time

In today’s video, I’m testing a simple but powerful trick—adding two straws to the bottom of my pour cup to create dual streams of flowing color. 🎨✨ I layered my paints, let the colors cascade through each straw, and did a wandering straight pour across the canvas. The result? A beautiful, flowing composition that reminds me of a South-West. 💫

In today’s fluid art adventure, I tried something a little different… I taped over my pouring cup to create two separate paint streams instead of one—and WOW, the drama it added to the pour was next level! 🔥🌊

With a wandering straight pour technique and a fiery tropical palette—yellows, oranges, reds, turquoise, and blues—I ended up with something that feels like a sunset crashing into the sea.

In this video, I create a glowing Reverse Flower Dip using a rich deep teal base and
DecoArt Extreme Sheen Aquamarine – shimmer queen of the ocean 💫

Pearl White –my signature soft glow 🌙
Reflex Rose – electric pop, like coral pulsing underwater 🌺
Greenish Blue – the aquatic body of the bloom 🐚
Red Violet – mysterious and rich, adds drama like sea anemone ink 💜
Gold – regal highlights, like treasure in a sunken ship ⚜️
Base: Deep Teal (2 parts Phthalo Green, 1 part Phthalo Blue, a dash of black (start tiny—this deepens without killing the vibrancy)

🎨 Reverse Flower Dip Process:
Pour your deep teal base over the canvas
Place your flower-shaped dessert cup on the canvas, bottom side up
Pour your colors over the bottom of the cup, layering Pearl White or metallic paints between them to create petal lacing
Remove the cup
Use a skewer to shape and swirl your petals gently
Lay a paper napkin or towel over the flower (you can use it dry or dampened)
Lift one corner at a time, and finally the center—softly and slowly
Torch to pop bubbles and activate the lacing in Pearl White and metallic paints
🌸 And there it is—your magical mermaid bloom!

This technique is as relaxing as it is beautiful. Watch, unwind, and let the shimmer take you under.

Experimented with straight pours on these. The top one in the first picture had no silicone and the bottom one did. Not sure how I feel about them. Would love to hear your guys’ thoughts! 💭
