Is Animal Farm worth reading?

I wasn't allowed to ask this on any book-related sub, so here I am. I've been considering reading Animal Farm by George Orwell (jorjor wel), but I don't want to read it if it's not... good... for lack of a better word. I've just begun consistently reading so I don't really know much about literature, although I've read some classics and also many of Shakespeare's works. What can you tell me about the book without spoiling it? Can you rate it on a scale from 1-10 and explain why? I really want to make sure it's something I'm interested in reading because I only like to read physical copies of books, and I insist on buying my own copies of all the books I read, so, you know. All responses are appreciated!

I read it while being in a hospital at 18. Its quite small and i really enjoyed it. Read it in english, too (not my native language).

If you want to know what its about - its kind of about societies and politics but the fun fact is, its not really. It is about animals on a farm, some have power, others dont.

I think you should read it. Can you elaborate on why you cant ask this question on book related subs??? This is quite astonishing...

Thank you for the description! The reason why I couldn't post this to any book-related sub is because this kind of question went against at least one rule in every sub that I tried. I couldn't find any book subreddits that would let me ask this. helped
