As a general rule, we're just going to avoid the topic but seeing as to how this is a gun sub, it's going to come up occasionally. When it does, act like an adult. If you don't agree with something, thats fine. It happens. There will be no name calling. Proofread your comment. If you say to yourself "Gee, I would probably get punched if I said this to someone in the real world", delete it and try again.

Use common sense. New account? Scammer. No Pictures? Scammer. Doesn't want to talk on the phone? Scammer. A deal too good to be true? You got it! Probably a scammer.
Ask lots of questions about what they have including very specific details a scammer won't know. They generally aren't too bright and are relying on you being just as dumb and gullible. If something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.

Best I could pull out of the Zans 42.3gr ELR’s this afternoon…. If only shot #5 would have stayed in the red, lol.
r/airguns • u/No_Tea762 • 17h ago
Slightly overkill, however… I already had these attachments at home lying around, the picatinny offset rail, the red dot, bungee sling I did buy..
Took the folding but stock off
The red dot side mount is so accurate there’s no need for a centre dot reticle, but left it on lol
There so beautiful, if I had an FAC and lived In the states I’d love to own one.

I live in Virginia.
Would anyone know if shooting these from my second floor room down to backyard is legal?
Kral Puncher NP-03 and Seneca Dragonfly, both shooting .177

Looking to get a couple of big bore air rifles one of which is the AEA Megalodon 15" but can't decide if I want the .50 or .58 cal version idk if I'm sacrificing too much power by going with the 50 since I could get a heavier grain pellets/slugs, the only real downsides I see to the .58cal in general is availability & accessories options as can't seem to find alot of moderator options in that caliber as I like to make them somewhat hearing safe

So I am using one of those cheap Four Uncles hand pumps sold on Amazon and so far its been working great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LPL57WD
However, when i'm about 2/3 to 3/4 in the green zone from my Notos gauge, the pump's gauge shows being near the end of the green zone getting into the red. I don't have a way to measure and test how accurate the hand pump's gauge is.
Should I stop pumping when the hand pump's gauge reaches the end of its green or continue to the end of the Notos gauge's green?

I bought a Hatsan jet 2 last week and have been plinking every day in my garden, it is my first pcp air rifle. I thought I would offer some pros and cons here to clear up any confusions that people have to read about the hatsan jet range online.
Pros/Cons:
- (Pro) Mine came in a black plastic suitcase, i thought i was only going to get it in a cardboard box after reading other buyers experiences online
- (Pro) Mine comes with a threaded moderator adapter included, again i read online that buyers say it does not come with the strange american standard threaded adapter (im british)
- (Pro) I bought a vevor pcp hand pump for £22 on amazon and i am happy using it with the hatsan jet 2, it is not too difficult at all. I pump it up from around 100-150bar to 250 bar and i think it takes roughly 30-35 pumps. I'm a tall guy and i can fully extend the pump high and just lean down on it, i don't have to use my arms much at all. The shop sales person i spoke to was fairly adamant that investing in a scuba tank to fill is necessary and a pump will break and is exhausting, i figure for now i saved myself a few hundred by not taking the sales advice. I may buy a compressor later on but I don't particularly feel i need it.
- (Pro) I love how compact the whole thing is, how it folds away, and how i feel like day of the jackal putting it together lol.
- (pro) I 3d printed a moderator which cost me about 15p in pla and it works great. I chatgpt researched all the moderators and found that they all roughly suppress sound by around 25db give or take so they are all basically doing the same. Save myself £100-150.
- (pro) Also 3d printed a tripod picatinny mount so i can fit it to a camera tripod i have. In pistol mode the hatsan jet sits nicely horizontally on the tripod, with the stock attached i have to tighten the tripod ballhead tightly to keep it horizontal without holding it.
- (pro) Another thing I 3d printed is a side picatinny clip to hold a cheap 40m laser tape measure i had in my tool bag, so i can easily measure shooting distances, in all but full sunlight it records distance and for £15 i paid a few years back it is doing it's job.
- I ordered a cheap scope and reflex sight and those should come in a few days, they both have 11mm dovetail mounts which i recommend trying to get over 20mm picatinny for the jet as the 20mm mounting options on the jet are limited. Besides 11mm mounts are lighter, more compact, and more suited to air guns, you just have to do a bit of sifting through online for them as 20mm seems to take up the bulk options.
- (pro) The hatsan jet 2 fits my hand nicely and feels comfortable to hold as a pistol. In rifle mode it is also nice to use. (con) I would have liked the rubber stock end to have an extendable option to sit lower down on my shoulder though i could probably design and 3d print something for that.
- Shooting with the standard iron sights is 'ok' the iron sights can be adjusted up and down to get better accuracy (con) however there is no sideways/horizontal adjustment so you can't get sniper accuracy with iron sights, i figure i get that feature when my scope and reflex sight arrive, besides, in the army your standard is always iron sights anyway.
- (con) The red paint covering the foam inside the case peels off immediately when you first open the case up from delivery, and continues to peel off all the time covering all the jet in red specks. you can brush them off but it's annoying as the jet looks cool when it is nice and black.
- (con) I had to fix some elastic straps inside the case lid to hold the paper manual and a few targets and stop them sliding about or blowing away when outside, it would have been nice if hatsan incorporated a paper holder in the case as is.
- cocking the charging arm is not difficult, has a nice spring resistance and click. I seen online that some people do a pump action mod on it which i like.
- I kinda wish there were larger magazines available, maybe 12 round would be nice as the standard 7 round (.22) mag is quickly emptied, there is a spare 2nd mag included in the case. I might try and 3d print a magazine but I have not fully figured out how the mag is working and don't want to open it up just yet as i think the spring inside will boing out and unravel.
- (pro) I paid £300 for it from a uk online store and they delivered it by their courier directly to me which is just amazing service.
For my first pcp it ain't half bad and i'm happy. It ticks the boxes on price, portability, looks, fun, power, and i can design and attach bits and bobs to add to it. It is only first week of using it, and i will probably add more review points in 6 months time. I feel glad i chose it over a larger big rifle which i couldn't carry in a backpack, glad i opted for a hand pump. to have a pcp rifle, pump, targets, and pellets for under £350 in total i think it is a good first choice for a newbie. I was offered alsorts of air rifles from various stores over the phone such as reximex mito (under powered) and reximex myth lite (too big for my backpack needs), also the folding brocock ranger xr (premium/expensive)
Happy to answer questions

My 1978 BSA Buccaneer break-barrel .22 air gun, with a period-authentic BSA Mark 9 scope. Many guns have been released since, and many of them have been better than this. However, I still find myself drawn to it, and I can only imagine how advanced it was for the time. Polymer stock, bullpup layout, set up for a scope. It still shoots more than well enough to plink, and the ergonomics are honestly impressively good.
Hey guys what’s a good affordable scope for a pellet gun. I bought a crosman pellet gun and the included scope is ass

I need a BB gun for rats, been wanting one for fun and now I have my excuse. I have lots of time on actual rifles and pistols but looking forward I’d like to teach my son to shoot with an air rifle and maybe even have him pass it down. Any good recommendations of something that can last a long time if I bought it today?
Edit: Pellet gun not BB gun my bad.

I have an Air Venturi Avenge X. It is filled to 3000 and I want to top it off. So far it has always gone fine with my Hill hand pump. Now, the pump pressurizes, but the air will not travel into the Avenge X's tank. Just to be clear... bleed valve is closed, pump is pressurized, the air simply is not going into the Avenge X tank. Any thoughts?

I have an older RWS 34 that hasn’t been shot in probably 20 years. It’s sat in a gun cabinet and appears in perfect condition. My question is, is there anything I need to do maintenance wise to start using it again? Simple oiling? Send it in somewhere for a full service by a professional? Would a full service even be worth it? I’d like to squirrel hunt with it.
I swapped my dan wesson 6 inches pellet gun for the webley service mark 6 pellet gun, definitely worth it.
