Rules PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING
Please check out the Official FAQs on the Amazon Flex website and subreddit rules before posting.
We also have our own FAQ that is also linked to in the sidebar ----------->
The sidebar also has a link to download the Flex app, the Flex Support contact info, the rules for this subreddit, and a warehouse list.
You may find the answer to your question there.
Many questions being asked here are repeat questions and are answered in the FAQ. Please check before making a new post.
If you need help with the Flex app, please include the app version number and whether it's Android or iOS in your post.
Also, please don't post useless threads about how hard it is to grab blocks, people using bots at your warehouse, what times the blocks get released, etc. Those posts add nothing to the discussion and will be removed.
Thanks!

Did myself a favor tonight.
I posted previously about not wanting to take base pay blocks anymore, because I was hosed for the last time. But I still had a block reserved from before that was supposed to be tonight.
After weighing things and deciding I didn’t wanna risk getting sodomized again, I cancelled it. Then saw a new block with the same time frame/pay pop up (3hrs, $58.50).
So I said F it and drove to the station, doing the whole refreshing thing. Last minute it pops to $82.50 and I was able to get it :o
Then I pick up the route and it’s 10 minutes away and 22 stops.
I know this sort of thing isn’t news to some people, and there are def higher surges out there, but it was a much needed win for me.
It’s stressed refreshing and trying to compete for blocks but IMO it’s worth it at least in my market.
It was also a beautiful night with crisp fresh air and I can genuinely say I enjoyed driving for Flex tonight.
Anyway just wanted to say I appreciate the real ones in this sub and that the universe helps those who help themselves. 💫🙏

Are you just ignoring this now? Rear door.
Or do you text the customer to explain?

Honestly feels like I won’t the freakin’ lottery.
Picture it… it’s just after midnight on Sunday morning and you go… “man forfeited (within acceptable times) two routes this week cuz I wasn’t feeling too hot and have a little less coming in as of now, I should really check Flex.”
So you do. At 4hr, $96 route is avail and that’s within your acceptable range so you snag it.
This is what you see as you approach a concerningly empty area of the station thinking “is this gonna be an empty fuckin cart” but no just ONE.
I weaved through everyone rolling their carts through the shitty station design and god awful parking lot with what I can only call a “ shit eating grin” on my face.
I’ve had an oddly simple weekend in regards to my routes this weekend. My early morning, Saturday route what’s the total of 12 packages not far from my home and then my afternoon one was 10 packages and the last stop was a half mile away from my home and now this one. This fucking gig blows a lot of the time but not today. Today I will take this little slip of luck and just be grateful for the easy money.
Good luck out there everyone, I hope the algorithm gods smile upon you with easy deliveries.

Amazon says you will get your package when we say!!

Rate on Blocks
If you thought there was sort of pattern behind this, there’s not. The same 30 mins of travel time with 40 plus packages will be put in 3.5 block just like a 4 hour block

I thought a valid driver’s license is required and should be valid as part of the contract with Amazon 🤷🏻

I had a car accident on a delivery, but amazon is ignoring my request for insurance claim information.
Basically i had to have my car rescued from a ditch while on a delivery costing a large amount of money due to the tow trucks etc.
I called support who told me to email a support @ Amazon address so i did explaining there was an accident and that i needed guidance on how to file an insurace claim. They replied some time later saying something along the lines of "We wont treat this as a violation on your delivery history" with no mention of any information on an insurance claim.
Does anyone know how to go about getting an explanation from amazon?

Make it make sense!
So i had a 3hr 7pm block tonight after my 5hr block early this morning. I arrive and check in. Go inside the warehouse to scan my license. Inside there are easily 60+ flex drivers standing and waiting. It is quiet as can be inside. Except those weird groups of foreign people you always see hanging out talking to each other. Not one warehouse worker in sight! No machinery running, nothing. There are also about 16 carts loaded and set in their stages. As i wait 30 min for my route to be prepared, im watching these people drop like flies and leaving. I watch 3 unlucky people over the course of this time get a route and go to their carts. Mind you, they've been waiting 15, 20min etc. These carts have been sitting there all this time and now they finally get assigned to them. After 25min, i get the no routes available and still getting paid message. Which was twice this week! Im like one of 5 drivers left and they are all leaving right after me, too.
Literally no one in there and 13 carts left for the night. Had over 60 people waiting to take them.
Oh, and i watched a bunch of people scan their license at 7:09pm. I thought you only have 4min and 59 seconds to get that done from your block time? The last block time you can get at my SSD location is 7pm, from what i was told.

Question Animals on routes
What type of animals do you guys find on your trips aside from dogs and cats? I was met with a raccoon sitting in a flower pot, 2 feet away from me at 3:30am…

Parking anyone?
Just want to start by saying I always try to be considerate when I stop, not leaving my car in the middle of the road, blocking things or by red curbs. But it's not it just me or it doesn't matter if you're in the middle of the desert at 2:15am or the end of the cul-de-sac opening from another cul-de-sac at noon, someone will immediately come and claim you're in their parking spot? It can't be just me 😂

This is why at my warehouse its pointless to wait in the lot for a surge block 😂, bots run 24/7 here

Ding for Closed Businesses
After taking over a week to update my standing. I found that on the day I had a block from 4:15am to 8:30am. Someone reported that they didn’t get their package. My first few stops I had so many delivers to closed business that wanted signatures I was heated. I even had to deliver to a school before 5 in the morning.
Like Amazon doesn’t care what time it is, they want their packages delivered. If you can’t then waste your gas and mileage to come back if you have time or take it to the station and get dinged.
It’s not fair to use driver that we have to be scared we going to get deactivate because people can’t get stuff right regardless if it Amazon or businesses failing to provide what times they are open.
All I can say is that I’m glad it was only one complaint vs the 11 business I had to stop first thing in the morning.

Anyone else get inspired by other people's houses & yards?
Saw these in someone's garden and fell in love. Looked them up with Google lens and reminded myself that I was doing flex as a side gig to pay off debt, not to buy $300 hippo garden statues 🤣

Standings went up even with dings added
Has this happened to anyone else? I've had a few dings and some that weren't my fault. I keep thinking im about to get deactivated but the compliments come im and they save my ass 😂. Has this happened to anyone? I feel lile this is crazy but im sure there are crazier ones. I'd love to see them

Flex hired way too many drivers this summer
In Maine, the sole opportunity for Flex drivers is to pick up and deliver Whole Foods groceries in the Portland area (no delivery stations in the state, and no Fresh stores).
But it's been pretty good, and I've been doing it for 5 years. All that changed this summer.
Even though we didn't need any new drivers, Amazon keeps hiring new ones. The result is predictable: a bunch of angry drivers hanging around the store - both right in front and inside - waiting for Instant Offers. Literally up to 20 or more drivers just hanging around the store for hours on end.
My theory is that Amazon handed the whole process over to AI, and programmed it to onboard a new driver every time it couldn't find a driver to accept the Offer, no matter how terrible the offer.
So now we're in this absurd situation where the store can't retain enough Shoppers to fill the orders while Drivers just sit around waiting...it's just so poorly managed it's unreal. The sheer neglect and indifference...
