Discussion Who else is sick of ads?

I've had Amazon prime for about 10 years now. I havent used it much in the last 2 or so years. I come back today and now everything i try to watch has ads? I know this has been standard for other streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, etc... but when is enough enough? Between ads and annual membership price increases, we're basically just coming back full circle to having a cable subscription. Ill be canceling soon as Im not a huge fan of having garbage ads shoved down my throat at every scene change in a film or TV show.

Well the funny part is I pay 136$ a year for Amazon Prime...I have to pay an additional 2.99 to not have ads is just scam!

It is dumb! And mades me think all they care about is more money even as the price of prime went up -_-

We do pay in Germany 89,90 euro 💶 😳 and an additional 2.99 for not having ads. 136 💵 i would say it is to much ☹️

Yes it is! It was worth it when Prime used to be 119 or some odd per year if I remember USD

Oh, I already knew that all they care about is money, I just find it funny how blatant they are with their nickle and diming. For one of the wealthiest companies in the world, they really just can't help themselves. They've gotta take more and more.

Welcome to the Age of Enshittification!

They gave us all kinds of great stuff for free (or bribed us to try), and now that "most people" are doing things online... we get less and less for the same or more money.

Exactly! 🤣

You remember when they first released the option for paying for no ads and it didn't work for months but they sure didn't mind raking in the money
