Discussion Who else is sick of ads?

I've had Amazon prime for about 10 years now. I havent used it much in the last 2 or so years. I come back today and now everything i try to watch has ads? I know this has been standard for other streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, etc... but when is enough enough? Between ads and annual membership price increases, we're basically just coming back full circle to having a cable subscription. Ill be canceling soon as Im not a huge fan of having garbage ads shoved down my throat at every scene change in a film or TV show.

Not me. I don't love ads, but they're still so much fewer than they were when I watched cable TV! I don't pay for Prime for Prime Video. Prime Video is just a bonus, so I'm okay with the ads.

Yeah for now, in a few years you might say "well its only the same amount of ads as cable tv." These companies only go one way, which is increasing revenue. They are never going to reduce ads, only increase them over time.

Yeah, that probably true, sadly.
