Discussion Who else is sick of ads?

I've had Amazon prime for about 10 years now. I havent used it much in the last 2 or so years. I come back today and now everything i try to watch has ads? I know this has been standard for other streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, etc... but when is enough enough? Between ads and annual membership price increases, we're basically just coming back full circle to having a cable subscription. Ill be canceling soon as Im not a huge fan of having garbage ads shoved down my throat at every scene change in a film or TV show.

They added ads about a year ago. It’s $3 to remove them, which is cheaper than any other service.

While that's an insignificant amount of money, considering I paid about $8/month 10 years ago, and now I'm paying double that for even LESS of a service, and have to tack on another nearly %50 of my original subscription price just to remove ads is hilarious! I guess Jeff has to recoup some of those wedding costs!
