General Discussion / Review Does anyone else wonder what English Subbed cartoons are like in Japan?

I went to Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo in April, I watched a screening of the Clone Wars Siege of Mandalore and they used the JP voices with English subs. The performance generally was fine, Obi Wan not having his accent was a bit strange and the Maul was definitely lacking compared to Sam Witwer (kinda ironic because he spoke to the crowd before the screening).

Then again, I think someone who had watched the JP dub of clone wars as much as I've watched the original English would be similarly put off watching the English dub due to familiarity with the voices they were used to hearing.

The R2D2 JP dub was however spot on...
