Cuisine Are these drink powders only popular in Croatia?

Post image

Have been to HR a couple of times, but I have noticed just now these... basically sugar and aroma and EVERYONE is drinking it o_O (Guess these add a lot to the overweight problems around here.)

Is this solely a Croatian thing or a Balkans way of life, folks?

Yea and also arguably healthier, coke zero uses aspartame as a sweetner which is “assumed” cancerogenic, but nothing wrong with it cuz it is small dosages, also it has caffeine (diet coke doesn’t but we usually don’t have that here in Serbia, I never saw it).

Cockta Zero on the other hand uses sucralose as a sweetener which isn’t associated with anything bad, while also not containing caffeine.

Plenty of other zero sugar drinks without aspartame though. But I do agree, it's quite good however it's always about personal choice/feel. I know people who literally can't drink a sip of Cockta for some strange reason, it makes them wanna puke and here I am, could drink litres and litres of it.

Regarding aspartame... Not sure about cancerogenic affects but I can tell you as a ex heavy zero calories drink addict. That shit messes me up whenever I drink it for prolonged period of times (cramps, hearth palpitations, brain fog here and there), however I did use to drink crazy amounts of it (on average 1.5l per day, every freaking day).
