Monthly Quick Questions
Use this thread to ask general questions that apply to you more than to the region.
For example, what music you like that is acceptable, what quirks or behaviours you have that are seen as offensive, if your music would be appreciated.

Culture Question regarding cars in caucasus
i see this mainly in dagestan and chechnya, but especially during weddings how do they get all these brand new multi-hundred thousand cars (Rolls, bentleys, maybachs etc)? especially since i heard that theres a strong poverty line there, i was thinking maybe rentals but then i saw a clip if them driving recklessly with those cars and bumping into eachother not really caring. can anyone give insight?

Qafa & Chechen dance inquiry
Hi everyone! I'm very curious about the qafa and chechen dance and don't have a lot of circassians around me to ask nor can i find information online. I live in Jordan and have heard of the "7" and "8" qafa dance where the steps are outlining the numbers 7 and 8 in arabic. What are the steps/moves? and what is the story or significance/context? also is Chechen basically "freestyling"? i hope this does not come off as offensive, I'm super interested in your culture, especially because of how well preserved it is. I find the dance captivating and reflecting the magnanimity and chivalry of the culture and history.

Is it true that Chechens retained their language after the deportation?
If this is true this is interesting to me because from my understanding a change in the language of education often marks the start of a major language shift such as in Victorian Ireland. Also did Koreans have any language retention post deportation?

Food What does a typical day of saying look like for you?
Whenever I look up food from the Caucasus, I mostly see bread, meat, and cheese dishes which take a while to prepare (I’m planning to try cooking some).
But I’m curious of what do you actually and typically eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack. Maybe you opt for quick non traditional food like cereal, a turkish kebab or hamburger and fries?
And what kind of cooking fat do you usually use?
I always picture you guys as being healthy. Probably thanks to the lifestyle in rural areas and the altitude overall, but still.

History Painted 1/32 Scale Figure: 19th Century Caucasian Highlander – Would Love Your Thoughts!
Hi everyone!
I recently finished painting a 1/32 scale figure of a 19th-century Caucasian highlander. I wanted to depict a rider traveling through the mountains, carrying a rolled-up green banner over his shoulder.
I was inspired by old photographs and illustrations I found online, and tried to capture the spirit of that era — especially the colors and traditional clothing. I'd love to hear your thoughts on my choice of colors, and any advice or suggestions you may have for future figures or historical accuracy.
I’ll attach some photos below. Thanks in advance!
