Personal Which smartphone do you have?

Gauging smartphone use across Europe. In the USA, Apple still dominates hard.

Bonus question: is it in light mode or dark mode?
Bonus Bonus: Any cool case?

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

I'm not loyal to any brand, I buy whatever I find the best for my needs and use it until it breaks. The only thing is that I'll stay with Android because that's what I'm comfortable and familiar with.

I use light mode during the day and dark mode during the night, it switches automatically.

Edit: I bought my phone from an official Samsung partner so is had no third party bloatware. It only came with some default Samsung apps, and I could easily uninstall the ones that I didn't need.

almost phone twins- Galaxy S24 user here, I've had it for a little over a year and I love it!

Always Chinese brands, for years it's been Xiaomi. This way both sides get my data. China because of the hardware and USA because of Google and Microsoft cloud services.

Perfectly balanced - as all things should be.

Motorola G52 power edition. It has everything I need. 5G, large battery (last 3 days), 90Hz display, Audio jack 3,5mm, USB C, micronSD slot, Clean Android 15, Zero bloatware, stereo speakers, gesture activated functions.. all that for 200.Eur.

This is my 3rd Motorola phone in a row, I change phones every 2 years as thats how long my contracts with carrier last.

6

u/demaandronk Netherlands 5d ago

Ive always had Motorola too, now i have a Redmi but regret it.

4

u/megaschnitzel 5d ago

Moto G52 here too. Great phone. It's my second Motorola. I had the last one (G5) for nearly 6 years.

2

u/dcnb65 United Kingdom 4d ago

I have G62, my last one was also G5. I used to buy Samsung but I prefer Motorola.

3

u/McBain42 4d ago

Motorola G75 here. I usually stick with Motorola, as, like you said, great build quality, solid hardware, almost no bloatware. Latest Android version, and mine was £180 I think. Expect it to last for at least 3 or 4 years. Great phone for less than half or even a quarter of the price of a Samsung or an Apple.

u/archdodo Romania 2d ago

Motorola G100. Clean Android and a lasting battery. I love it!

FairPhone 6 with e/OS in green. Dark mode except for navigation during the day. No case, but I do have the finger loop and neck cord.

15

u/hoverside Germany 5d ago

Fairphone 4. I just replaced the battery after 3 years, not needed any other new parts so far. I don't like the case though, way too shiny and difficult to pick up.

Once this phone dies I plan to stick with Fairphone and get a newer model.

3

u/ElfjeTinkerBell Netherlands 4d ago

Once this phone dies I plan to stick with Fairphone and get a newer model.

I did the same! I had a FP3 that I abused for about 6 years and it was slowly giving up. Apparently if you drop a phone at least once every day, it will get issues over the years.

2

u/thenewathensethos -> -> 4d ago

I have a FP3+ that I have dropped a lot, but despite that it still works perfectly fine. Originally, I thought if it could keep up for four or five years, I’d be happy. But now, 4,5 years later I’m still happy with it and I plan on keeping it until it dies. Fingers crossed that the day is far away. Then I plan on replacing it with another Fairphone.

How is it? I want to go from Oneplus to Fair Phone but a friend had one years ago and it was awful. Very expensive for worse performance on pretty much every level. I hear they have improved a lot.

3

u/ElfjeTinkerBell Netherlands 4d ago

I've never had a bad experience, been with them since the 2.

It's a phone. It works. shrugs

2

u/Kynsia >> 4d ago

Fairphone 5 here. Wasn't brave enough for e/OS, though. Hope to have this for years to come.

Samsung, an S24U with a Spigen Optik case. I use light mode in the day and dark at night 😂.

15

u/Billy_Balowski Netherlands 5d ago

Samsung A53. No need to spend more than 350 on a phone. I want one that will last me 4-5 years, with updates. Never an Apple, and no Chinese phones too. Would prefer European, but it's not there yet. Maybe I'll get a Fairphone next.

3

u/LordMarcel Netherlands 3d ago

We have now come at the point where for the average user a mid-range phone has all the features you need. I got myself an A54 for about 300 euros 1.5 years ago and am still very happy with it.

14

u/fluentindothraki Scotland 5d ago

Pixl , currently 7a. Reasonably good cost/performance ratio . Not a fan of dark mode as I need reading glasses.

29

u/Gulmar Belgium 5d ago

OnePlus 11, I've almost always had a OnePlus, I like the value for the money I get from them. With phones I like to buy a good model so it can last me 4-5 years.

I also like that OnePlus has no bloatware like Samsung has, it's quite a clean version of Android.

I received an iPhone for work, tried to use it for 6 months but was still annoyed with it so I switched back to my OnePlus. My new work also gave me an iPhone, so now a brand new iPhone is just sitting in my closet, unused. But yeah, they don't provide androids...

Also, always dark mode. I hate light mode.

8

u/thedanfromuncle Netherlands 5d ago

I'm on my third OnePlus atm and considering buying my fourth. They are still considered niche according to tech blogs, but in my IT professional bubble I know a lot of people using them. They're great.

5

u/inkihh Germany 5d ago

I'm only using OnePlus since the very first one. Since over 6 years now I have the 6T McLaren, and it's still going strong.

3

u/exhiale 5d ago

Imo OnePlus went a bit downhill after the 7, but I've heard good things about the newer models.

Had a 6T, loved that phone, passed it to my gf after replacing the battery and type c port. Wasn't even that hard to repair. Still going strong, 7 years in.

Samsung (so a modified android OS). Dark mode as default. Just a generic flip cover.

I can't find any serious stats for sales, but anecdotally, the split is not that big between apple and samsung

6

u/pannenkoek0923 Denmark 5d ago

In the Nordics Apple is much more prevalent compared to rest of Europe

iPhone 15 pro. Dark mode and the thinnest transparent silicone case I could find.

Been Team iPhone since iPhone 4 came out, except for two years using Windows Lumia. Loved that phone, but I use my phone for everything and most devs didn’t bother creating or updating apps for it.

10

u/KingKingsons Netherlands 5d ago

15 pro max here. I’ve always been on Android, but I was pretty tired of Samsung’s and Google’s sloppiness and inattention to detail. Of course this was right before Apple themselves became a bit sloppy and announced Apple AI, which never delivered, but I’m still happy with the move.

3

u/gomsim Sweden 4d ago

Iphone guy here. I also loved my Lumia. The camera was insane, and still is. It's sad it was discontinued. For some reason mine freaked out one day and went into an infinite turn on shut off cycle which made it very warm and drained the battery, almost on the day after the warranty ended.

2

u/Areshian Spain 4d ago

The camera and the mics. I think I still haven’t found a phone that recorded live music as well as my Lumia. A shame. Moved to iPhone after it became unusable due to lack of apps

I have an iphone 15 pro.

Though I had Sony phones in the past and I liked them. I don't understand the divide "apple vs android".

Unless you're very technically challenged, you can switch between them without any issues, and for a regular, daily user, they do the same thing.

it comes down to like a ... UI and design preference.

For context, reason I have an iphone is because my mom and best friend has it, so it's way easier to share stuff etc. I also like it. Sue me.

39

u/sorrowsofmars Austria 5d ago

I always have some Samsung phone. For work I also have an iPhone but I cannot describe how much I dislike it - I do not understand how people buy it deliberately.

I always have light mode, dark mode hurts my eyes within seconds :(

8

u/synalgo_12 Belgium 4d ago

I used to work at a helpdesk for banking apps and guiding people on any Apple product was so much harder than Android, whether it was an iPhone, iPad or computer/laptop. Even with all the variables of Android systems, it was still harder to help people on Apple.

6

u/hegzurtop 4d ago

That's interesting because dark mode is actually better for your eyes, especially at night

2

u/she_slithers_slyly 4d ago

From (and in) the US. I just lurk here because I like the vibe. Why? Maybe for the same reasons you folks don't seem to care for iPhone. I kinda hate that just about everyone I know and care about uses that pos. There are a few whose tech IQ supercedes that of the avg Americano and we don't have the incompatibility issues due to proprietary limitations. Intentional, designed incompatibility....that's some tech naziism going on out in the open for years (people died too. are they still?)

6

u/almostmorning Austria 5d ago

Samsung. Anything from the S series because they are waterproof. I have to stay with samsung because my parents are barely technically functional and they usually inherit my phones. so the OS and the function key placement needs to be somewhat constant. Tried Huawei once and my parents couldn't handle the minimal differences.

Also waterproofed phones live so much longer.

Unihertz Jelly 2. I hate big phones and I don't like iOS, so the options are extremely limited. A little bigger than the Jelly 2 would be perfect, but for now this does the work. Light mode on all my devices.

2

u/hristogb Bulgaria 5d ago

I have the same one. It's perfect. I don't think I will go back to a bigger size smartphone any time soon. Light mode during the day, dark mode at night.

7

u/SerChonk in 5d ago

Still have my Huawei P20 from 2018. It's been dieing for a while and I've been waiting for the Fairphone 6 with the MurenaOS to come out to finally replace it, so I'm about to.

I'm a light mode person. On everything.

6

u/cobhgirl in 5d ago

Samsung. I'm in no way brand loyal, but we have a limited selection for work phones. I'm using dual sim to use the same phone for work and private, as I just cannot be arsed keeping track of two phones.

Previous was Samsung as well and lasted 5 years. It would still be going strong if work policy hadn't made me switch to a newer model recently. Prior to that, I had a Pixel.

I did have an iPhone once, my husband gave me his old one when he got a newer model, and I frankly hated it. It felt way too restrictive, far too locked in to everything Apple. So, while I'm not brand loyal, I will most definitely never get anything Apple ever again.

7

u/Herefornow211 in 5d ago

Nothing phone 2a. By far the best value for money when I bought it.

Samsung Galaxy A33. Since my first galaxy s3 mini I always have had a Samsung Galaxy. They´re good phones, pretty colours, have a good camera.

20

u/RelevanceReverence Netherlands 5d ago

Google Pixel

I wait for a small model and buy it immediately. The Pixel 3 form factor was the best, < 6" screen, finger print scanner on the back.

Nice things:

  1. Vanilla Android
  2. https://grapheneos.org/faq#device-support

3

u/TrickyWoo86 United Kingdom 5d ago

Pixel here too, although an 8. Also had a Pixel 2 which was the same as your 3, that rear finger print scanner was amazing, especially the slide for notifications gesture it had and squeeze for assistant.

My last phone was an iPhone 13 mini which is probably the best form factor (size/weight) for how I use my my phone, to the extent that I'm prepared to give up the Pixel cameras and being on android to have something small and light again.

I had a Pixel 4a (now have a S24 after the 4a battery update earlier this year). Both I picked because they were the smallest "modern" phone available at the time and... both are still too big for my taste. I don't think phones will ever get smaller again, but I wish

I used to have an Xperia X10 mini 😆 Absolutely unthinkable now

Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro. I am not loyal to any brand necessarily, but I had another Xiaomi before that lasted over 5 years. It is actually very good condition. Even the battery still lasts for almost 2 days. Unfortunately it doesn't get any security updates anymore.

Light mode all the way. Dark mode is too hard to read for me when the letters are small like on a phone display. When I write code on the pc I use dark mode in the terminal and code editor.

I use the case that came with the phone. It's a simple grey plastic cover. Nothing special, but it works.

Samsung 22

Dark mode

Some heavy duty case so my phone dont break. Yes I drop it alot, it have saved my phone so many times

Samsung. Always dark mode. Just a simple clear case.

Samsung. I'm not really loyal to a particular brand, I'll take anything that's not Apple.

Definitely in dark mode, and I don't really use cases.

Xiaomi Mi 11i. I keep saying I'll change it cause it does some weird stuff but it's a great phone and has lasted me for many years

As for cases I always use wallet style cases. Apparently that means I'm old according to my son but so be it

Samsung S22.

Will never go Apple. Garbage company.

Would like to replace this with something European... eventually. I can accept Samsung. I can never accept Chinese.

These are all the phones I've had in the past 26 years:

  • Panasonic GD30
  • Ericsson T28s
  • Ericsson T65
  • Sony Ericsson T230
  • Sony Ericsson T630
  • Sony Ericsson K750
  • LG KS20
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
  • LG Optimus G
  • Huawei P8
  • Huawei Mate 10 Pro
  • Huawei P30 Pro
  • Samsung Galaxy S24+

I'm using dark mode since the S24+ has an AMOLED display.

I'm using the official dark purple silicone from Samsung.

I don't think they've had the market majority in Europe at any given time.

Samsung A54. I don't need much, been using all kinds of mid-range phones for decades till their batteries give out.

Samsung, but it's terrible. Not as hardware - but as softwa they take away all freedoms and impose a lot od restrictions. Going to buy a second hand pixel and install GrapheneOS on it

DE: Samsung Galaxy models, for many years now. I use my phone until it is really broken or unusable (I sat on one sideways... Another couldn't run a service app I needed to use anymore) , and only then buy the latest model.

Pixel 7 pro, cool phone even if its price is similar to an iPhone...

I also have an iPhone 15 for work

Sony Xperia 1 VII. Very happy with it - after the manufacturer replaced the first, defective model. I didn't want a Chinese or American phone and Sony products have always been reliable.

Dark mode, always.

I used to buy Samsung, but some years ago I changed to Xiaomi. I had a Redmi Note 5, a Xiaomi 9T and now I have a Xiaomi 12T Pro. Usually I use them for 3 or 4 years and then I buy a new one. So far I am a satisfied costumer. I think the 3 still work, but the Note 5 and 9 T battery has lost the capacity to charge, beside that they work great.

Samsung M31s.

It's good enough to me, and it didn't cost me a kidney. Also it lasts about 2 days on one charge. I've had it for almost 5 years now.

Case - Spigen Rugged Armour. Doesn't look any cool, but works as intended.

Currently Samsung S24FE

All my smartphones were Samsung ones (S2, S6, S8, S24FE)...I just recently replaced my old S8, that I had since 2017 or so because the battery died and puffed up so I quickly replaced it before it burns my house down. I bought my first Samsung in 2012 and always liked their phones and they always held up a long time being on my 4th phone in 13 years.

Before smartphones I had several Nokia cellphones including the 3210, 8210 and one from the 7XXX series (forgot which one) and before that my first phone was an Ericsson GA 628. For a couple years between 2009 to 2012 I had no phone at all and was a bit late to the smartphone party.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra. I wanted a Sony mirrorless camera but then thought I work long hours and it would probably stay at home unused. The Xiaomi/Leica collab turned out pretty good, and considering its size it's a decent camera to always have in my pocket. As for a case, Xiaomi's Photography Kit is spot on.

Some may see it as wasted money, but it works alright for me and allows me to shoot decent photos anytime.

2

u/Iosephus_1973 4d ago

Xiaomi Redmi 15, it's pretty much the cheapest option for a smartphone. Don't see any reason to spend more money on the phone than those 3999 CZK it costs.

Chiming in from Finland:

I've got a Samsung.

Mode? Umm. The default one. (I'm such a PC nerd I hate the touch screen UI and only use my phone for messaging something like twice per week, a phone call maybe once per week, and for the play and stop buttons of an audio book service)

I've got one of those transparent back panel cases that gives it a bit of shock resistance.

iPhone is my choice nowadays. Loved the z flip I had before, but the camera is so much simpler to use quickly on Apple's side. Have had anything and everything over the years. Pixel 7 Pro now, still going strong - I want my phones to last at least 3 years, preferably more.

I'm not committed to the brand or anything, but I find that phone options are more limited than before. Apple devices aren't for me, and top quality Android phones are pretty much just Pixel Pro and Galaxy S lines. Almost everything else is too many compromises. And I don't like Samsung's phone software.

Dark mode, it's easier on the eyes and uses less power too. No case - I must be missing something because damn near everyone seems to use a case, but I don't find them useful.

1

u/Bierzgal Poland 5d ago

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. I usually change phones every two years but I liked this one enough that I left it for the next two. I try to stick to Android phones with a physical fingerprint readers (on the back or side of the case). I don't like the ones on the screen.

Asus Zenfone 10.

Trying to avoid Chinese brands, can't figure out iOS, Samsung sucks. Sony was the other brand I considered, but they're too long and narrow.

Also, I have a mini-Jack. And the fingerprint sensing isn't under the screen. Can't beat that.

Google Pixel 7a.

I generally go for a good price/performance ratio and try to stay below €500. Paying €1000+ for a smartphone is insane to me since I just do basic web browsing and social media stuff.

Oneplus 12R. I upgraded from a xiaomi mi 9 because the battery life was kind of bad and the screen size is a nice for the use I gave it at the time.

I use dark mode and use a simple case from nilkin (off of aliexpress)

iPhone 16E, dark mode. My pop socket is shaped like a pigeon!

u/vakantiehuisopwielen Netherlands 5d ago

iPhone 16, went to iOS a couple of years because of my hearing aids which were not Android compatible

The case is a Spigen Tough Armor AI with MagSafe.

I use both modes depending on sundown and sunset.

Xiaomi 12.

Main criteria - the smallest diagonal I could find, out of the latest generations at the time of the purchase.

Bonus tip / cheat when looking at phone specs, to figure out performance -- just check the GPU generation. Everything else is either proportional, or hasn't been a performance bottleneck in years.

I switched to Xiaomi about 3 phones ago, and haven't had any major issues with their version of Android.

Light theme, as I tend to use it more outside, in the sun. Auto dark theme in the evening.

Simple clear case, as my model has a very nice purple colour.

u/Immediate_Mud_2858 Ireland 5d ago

iPhone 15 Plus. Always iPhones.

Light mode.

Swirly (oil on water) pattern.

ETA: we’ve only had iPhones since 2008 when the 3G was released.

u/imrzzz Netherlands 5d ago

Never owned an Apple phone and never will.

My current phone is a Google Pixel but I think I'll go back to one of the big Chinese brands when this one dies.... It's ok but not as impressive as I'd hoped, and downright annoying in some ways.

u/gnomulus Romania 5d ago

I've been on iOS ever since they butchered my beautiful Windows Phone :(

u/41942319 Netherlands 5d ago

Honor 10. Not sure I'd still get a Chinese one now but I've had this one for five years and it still works great. Longest lasting phone I've ever had. I've had Sonys a few times and the display was always cracked within the year. This one I've spent about 10 euros replacing a cracked back cover a few times but only two weeks ago did I get my first crack in the display. Longest lasting one before that was an Alcatel I got for like 50 euros that also lasted years. I don't think I'll go back to big brand phones.

OnePlus 6T McLaren, since January 2019, and it's still great.

u/gianlu_derp Italy 5d ago

Been using iphones for 8 years (6s and XR), recently switched to a pixel 9a. Always dark mode

1

u/GGCompressor 5d ago

Iphone 15proMax. I don't like it much (I prefer Samsung phones by far), but I really like all the rest of Apple stuff (mac, ipad, watch, airpods) and so it's just easier to go with them.

Adjusts from light to dark automatically

The silicone case from Apple, just because I've bought the phone at apple store and did not have to go around finding another one

Google Pixel 6. Used to buy Google Nexus phones, now I buy Pixel phones. Waiting for P10 to be released...

u/SadPomegranate1020 United Kingdom 5d ago

Uk here and had an iPhone since the 3GS came out - currently on an iPhone 15.

Have a Samsung for a work phone and I hate it. Never recognises my face, or fingerprint, tells me I have voicemails when I in fact do not and it’s just clunky and ugh 😂

1

u/DDDX_cro Croatia 5d ago

Cubot King Kong Power.
Immensly sattisfied with it.
Dark mode, ofc.
No case, as the phone itself is one indestructible case.

Cannot recommend enough!!!!!!!

u/bessie-dk 5d ago

🇩🇰 Denmark here. I have pixel 8. Not monster big for my small hands and a reasonable price. I have a back cover with a ring and liquid panzerglas on the screen. All my smartphones have been android. (Samsung, Huawei)

u/Mister_SurMulot 5d ago

iPhone SE 2016, dark mode no case

I like the small size

u/fazzah Poland 5d ago

Used to love HTCs for years, then had a fling with Realme, this summer bought my first Pixel.

Enjoyed every single one of them. As for the case I bought a Spigen air cushion black silicone

u/ScarVisual 5d ago

One Plus until they got too expensive. Now I've got a Xiaomi, I wish I'd paid the extra and stuck with One Plus.

1

u/koegie Belgium 5d ago

Currently Google pixel 7. No brand loyalty, I've tried out all sorts of smartphones in the past. Quite happy with the picture quality and overall longevity and build quality. Once this one breaks I'll probably buy another Pixel.

Always on dark mode

Case is just a slim clear case with a fingerband for hand comfort

Never apple

u/IanYanYan84 5d ago

I have a galaxy S10+. Before that I had a galaxy 7.

They're old phones but they do what needs doing: social media, music, Google searches, etc.

u/felixfj007 Sweden 5d ago

Nokia (now just HMD) XR20 (HMD is from Taiwan) As I wanted a phone with as little connection to PRC as i could (and convinience) and a waterproof phone, decent battery, with as unbloated and modern OS I could find to replace my CAT s41(?) phone (cat had a tendency to always have an already old os I'm their new phones). Android for the less restricted os, and the ability to sideload (if I ever would need to).

I use a rugged case to have the phone survive falls a bit more likely with less visual damage.

1

u/One-Dare3022 Sweden 5d ago

iPhone and I think it’s called SE. Had it for quite a while now. Had a CAT before this one and it is much easier to use for an old man. Never changed phones as long as they work.

Motorola ThinkPhone. Before that, in descending order: Google Pixel 3 XL, Sony Xperia XZ, Samsung Galaxy Neo, Motorola Moto G 2013. Except for the Moto G and the ThinkPhone, all were bought sh. I bought the ThinkPhone this year.

Darkmode.

Transparent silicon case with reinforced corners, but not a cool one.

u/bumbumdibum Denmark 4d ago

I have a Samsung A52. Normal mode and a plain backcover.

1

u/paroxitones 4d ago

Pixel 9 pro. Was loyal to Samsung, but disliked how the S25 feels in hand

1

u/Flat-Employee-1960 Netherlands 4d ago

After years of being an iPhone user I switched to the Samsung galaxy s23 ultra bc it suited my wants and needs the best. Have tried Huawei and Samsung in the past (smartphone wise), and it's definitely possible I switch to another brand jn the future based on my needs and wants at that time.

1

u/alejoc 4d ago

Pixel 8 Pro but wanna change to the Motorola Razr Ultra with Clicks keyboard. I miss the damn Qwerty.

1

u/Accomplished-Try-658 4d ago

Almost unavoidably a Moto G75, so a Chinese brand for all intents and purposes.

If a EU company made a small android phone  below 400€ I would be all over it.

1

u/Saendbeard Germany 4d ago

Motorola G84 5G, dark mode. Apple is a no no for various reasons, this one was cheap – 200€ on Amazon Spring sale two years ago and does it's job fine.

1

u/Antonaros Greece 4d ago

Rocking a Google Pixel 9 Pro for the last two months. Loving it so far.

1

u/Grouchy_Fan_2236 Hungary 4d ago

Nokia C5-00 until the start of the year. On the 3rd battery and it still works, but unfortunately the buttons became increasingly more difficult to use and there are rumours that 2G networks will shut down over the coming years.

Switched to some cheap Chinese Android phone with physical buttons. Never used apps, just the basic phone functionalities. Works, but not the same. I've set a picture of the galaxy as wallpaper so I guess that counts as dark mode.

1

u/booknerdit Ireland 4d ago

Samsung s22. I've only ever had Samsungs since I started getting smartphones (Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 was the first one I got). I don' get the appeal of iPhones.

Dark mode and I have a Van Gogh Starry night case.

u/UniuM Portugal 4d ago

After 15 years of mostly Samsung android, I’ve bought last year the iPhone 16 pro. It has been strange. But I’m at a point that I don’t want to think too much about this stuff and for that iPhone is best imo. Also, there isn’t a flagship android smaller than my iPhone, and I don’t want to carry a brick bigger than my hand on my pocket.

1

u/Mental-Map7087 4d ago

iPhone, Tesla,... No! Overrated with much better alternatives.

1

u/SnooBooks1701 United Kingdom 4d ago

Samsung, it was cheap and it works, so I got a new sim when my contract ended

1

u/ApprehensivePepper98 4d ago

iPhone 16pro, I’ve been in the ecosystem for years together with my wife so it’s just easy- I upgrade every 2-4 years and resell my old phone at like 30% of the purchase value

1

u/Groknar_ Germany 4d ago

Currently a Xiaomi POCO F3. Before that I had Huawei and Samsung.

I use my Phone until it's essentially dead. I only switched to my current phone because the old one became slow AF and the phone before that was so old it hasn't received android updates in Ages and I couldn't install most Apps on it.

1

u/Primary_Breadfruit69 4d ago

Samsung A56. Have no idea what you mean with dark or light mode.

Case black booklet.

u/Serious_Book_6224 :flag-ee 4d ago

motorola edge 50 neo, got it almost 3 weeks ago and it is my first ever mobile phone. Very good battery and compact

I miss my Blackberry times so much! Tried some Samsungs - the Galaxy S range after that, big disappointment. Now it’s been the iphone, every two years since the 6.

1

u/smoliv Poland 4d ago

An iphone 13 which is still running well, it just needs a battery change

1

u/Bluebearder 4d ago

Samsung, for many years already, and always been happy. I usually buy last year's flagship model, which has by then become a lot cheaper but still carries that good hardware. Last two phones were refurbished ones, zero problems.

But my next phone might be a Fairphone. European manufacturer, modular design so easy to repair, and great standards for things like the environmental and social impact of their products.

1

u/FarawayArctic 4d ago

Samsung Galaxy S22, had it since release and it still works like new. I'm a devoted Samsung user. Had S4 mini, S6, S9, and now this lil beast. They never let me down and have always worked better than expected.

1

u/Simple_Nebula_5763 4d ago

Fairphone 4, android Running it very minimalistic and working on replacing all Google and Microsoft apps. 3,5 years and no parts replaced. Just the screen shield as I have noodles for fingers and children who love dropping it. My husband has a Fairphone 3 and just recently replaced the bottom module as it wasn't charging anymore after being dropped in water.
