Food Raw fish, glass jar, sea water.
Hello,
I saw a reportage on tv 20 years about a country. I saw a fishermen prepare some fish filet raw in a jar of sea water. It was to eat later.
Do you know how this preparation is called and in which country?
Thanks. PS: I know fafaru but I want to know the european version.

Do they let the fish "rot" before eating? Sweden's surströmming is different preparation but similar result, yet even further in the "hard" taste. The video i saw didn't show how long the fishermen brine their fish. Just want to know if at two very different location in the world the will to eat raw decomposed fish lead to the same method of preparation. Or may have been imported from one to another.
