Look at my tomatoes 😍 aren't they gorgeous?

I am eating vegan at the moment, so I tried to make tofu Caprese. You need to drain the tofu really well, and then slice and dress as usual. I must say, it is very very good. I would eat it happily even if I weren't vegan (I see the torches and pitchforks already)

I had some epic cooking fails last night and ended up having ramen at nine instead. But I am determined to turn it around and make something out of the battlefield from yesterday.

Did you guys ever have any horrible cooking fails? What happened?

These tomatoes are great!

So bad that I couldn't eat it, rarely.Of course there are things that turn out not as good as they could be!

Occasionally if I follow a new recipe the result can be pretty bad, but usually I adjust if the ingredients seem wrong, rather than follow the recipe religiously.

I do remember a lemon chicken recipe I followed once that came out so sour it was pretty terrible!

I also had a few things that completely collapsed while cooking... falafel was one.You need to be more careful with the temperature than I was.

My mom tried to make falafel once (she is terrible at following recipes so she just made it up) and they fell apart. I told her she needs to use soaked, raw chickpeas. Then she did it again and they fell apart again. I was like, you cooked the chickpeas again, didn't you? She doesn't believe that it will work if you don't cook them first, and she's stubborn as a donkey.
