Better to lurk here and see how they are viewed than to live in the echo chambers of Channel 12.Not that I have any hope of this conflict being resolved in a good way, but if any such hope were to be found, it would be because of people with a conscience willing to look beyond propoganda.

No matter how much they murder innocents including children by directly targeting them in the head or chest?

If you're pro israel during this war, yes.
Because even if the war was in response to an attack (which was itself a response to decades of continuous oppression that was normalized by international community) it doesn't somehow make the response impossible to become a genocide at some point.
So if you support the response as it is 2 years later and you are justifying it then yes obviously it is the pro genocide position even if you deny it as being a genocide.

The people were the same as people are now. People knew colonization was bad. People knew the West was evil. The evil was winning back then. They disregarded humanity and they kept killing and oppressing people.

The point I'm making is that imperial powers would manufacture consent by lying to people in general. The zionists are working overtime to try and convince people that what they are doing is righteous and just but as you have said times have changed and we are able to figure out from the comfort of our homes what's true and what's false much more accurately and faster than 100 years ago.
Although there is a lot of misinformation out there, we all see what's going on and no amount of propaganda can cover it up.

I see what you are saying. But I doubt the Europeans of 1900s were really fooled to believe the people their nations have exterminated up to that point and was still colonizing, oppressing and exploiting were inferior to them. They knew they weren't inferior. They still do. But that doesn't deter them from acting as though we are inferior to them. It is still the same today for many of them. Although maybe they are facing more opposition from within to their crimes against humanity now.
I still don't think the West will solve their evil from within. I think we will have to defend our humanity against their evil on our own.

Why would you be surprised, they probably want to see what other middle eastern countries are saying about them. It’s also possible that they could be Israeli Arabs or Palestinians in the West Bank or Gaza, I’m not exactly sure how Reddit locates users by country.

Yes, and echo chambers already suck. My point is that if you prefer, for example, locking threads by nationality or IP because you don't like "Israelis" viewing your comment, that in itself would make things worse. But I'm sure thats not how you feel. Israelis aside, a lot of West Bank users rely on Israeli SIMs and networks, keep that in mind.
So to answer the original post, this doesn't stick out.

I'm saying that treating '18% Israeli viewership' as anything with substance is confusing. Could be Settlers, could be Haredi, could be some Palestinians in the West Bank, we don't know. End of day, they are all located in the middle east, and on a subreddit called r/AskMiddleEast, diverse readers should be expected.
Regarding my forward question, I don't think anything will stop reddit from being closed off, but I’m pushing back against a potential mindset that builds even smaller echo chambers inside of subs.

First, for clarity, I should’ve just said "from evil people, to mixed bags, to the innocent" because you seem to misread the intentions of my reference. Speaking on Haredim was about the internal diversity, from full blown zionists to anti-state/anti-zios, it wasn't some inflated value judgment on religion, it's a reference to a mix of beliefs.
Second, you’re flattening a complicated reality. Boycotting Israelis is one debate (that I mostly agree with), but banning ‘Israeli’ IPs is another. A BIG issue is that IP/geo tags are noisy especially in that region (w/ VPNs, roaming, SIMs in West Bank), so your filter would also come to block some Palestinians. If you’re definition of "reasonable" is fine with that kind of collateral, then say so. But don’t pretend like it’s a precise task.
As for why I’m "butthurt", it's because I care about the well-being of all Palestinians, and I think anything that hurts them, including closing off minds with IP walls, will help no one.
Exactly why I don't find what OP posted as 'interesting'.

Not to imply anything, but a Palestinian using Reddit counts as an Israeli because of their IP address. The +972 phone code is technically Israeli, but they are used by most, if not all Palestinians in Palestine. So, maybe those are Israelis, but they might just as well be Palestinians
