Just a quick public service announcment dont pour it all in one go, you fill it up to the harp on the glass then wait for it to settle, after that top it off and you have a creamy delicious pint.
This isn't the case if you're pouring Guinness from a can though (the draught cans with the wee nitrogen bubble thing in them anyway, which are the only cans worth drinking) - with those you don't tilt the glass or let it settle before topping off, just pour it straight in the glass in one go and then let the pint settle for a minute and they turn out perfect
Oh I know I am Irish haha. I fully agree that a well poured pint is the best way to drink stout, but they aren't always well poured so one thing I like about cans is the consistency, you're never worried one of your glasses is going to taste like shit and you just paid a fiver for it. To me there isn't a huge difference between the draught cans and a pint in a bar anyway so I'm happy enough to drink either (although it's for sure a glorious thing when you get a pint of Guinness in a good pub and it's one of those heavenly exceptional ones)
