I don't know what this means. An avatar doesn't "need" a team, specifically. She can have friends and stuff, sure, but as far as writing a series or something, there's no requirement about it.

You know well that I mean friends that travel, interact with them and get in trouble with them regularly and yes they kinda do need them. Writting wise because the series needs a regular cast beyond the established three or else the character development and interactions grows stale and storywise because the link said Jae will be teaching them meaning they’re gonna need more bending teachers.

I don't understand what you're taking issue with. All I'm saying is that I'm unsure we're going to see a traditional team avatar in this series, if we see one at all. An avatar can have friends, but those friends don't have to be a part of team avatar. Tenzin/Lin/Suyin etc travelled around with Korra, and I don't think you could call them a part of team avatar. Maybe Tenzin.

And I'm not sure Pavi and Nisha are going to need bending teachers, or if the story will require it. We've done the whole training thing over two series already.

Sorry if I got too personal, its honestly because frankly I don’t personally like the scenario that you imply. Still, I don’t find it objectively realistic.

Your example doesn’t help your argument. First because Korra is a young woman in a world were the avatar had an active support chain, which isn’t the case for Pavi and Nisha, so they can’t act as independently as easily. Second because Korra did have a team avatar so you can’t prove that it works without them and I never once said an avatar can’t have non teammate friends, only that they do need. Third, its a well established part of the lore that the avatar needs companions to guide them.

Its also already established that Jae is tje girl’s teacher, so I don’t see why they would stop at one elemental teacher.

Avatar is not x files whose attractive was the monster of the episode for an adult scify loving audience, not the more dynamic character development. An avatar has shorter episodes for a younger audience that wants them to be dynamic in their character development and have more hand to hand action.

Is your point of view valid and possible? Sure and hell it could even work for all I know but its not likely.

I'm not out to prove anything, dude. I'm just saying from a story perspective, you don't need a team avatar. Besides, based on this call sheet, it looks like we only have three main characters, so... there goes your "we need a large cast of characters" argument?

People have been wondering what the team avatar is gonna look like, but here's the thing: there are only twenty-six episodes. That's not enough time for them to master/learn all four elements, unless there's a massive time skip in-between the seasons. One of the reasons I doubt we'll have a traditional "team avatar" is because I doubt this show is gonna spend much time -- if any at all -- on Pavi and Nisha learning the other elements. Mike and Bryan have covered all four elements in the other two series. Why would they want to write that again? And why would I want to watch that?
