Gosh, I hope they're prepped to protect the voice actors if they end up with primarily children; people have gotten like ten times more freaky/crazy wrt harassing cast and crew over choices they don't like since LoK aired, and in the current stupid cultural climate, there's bound to be some group of idiots that will take offense to two of the main characters being a disabled kid and a gay teenager...

Looking at the call, though, since they said they were aiming for teens/YAs to voice Pavi or Nisha... is it weird my first thought went to Iman Vellani? She sounds young, fits the cultural background they're looking for, and she's great as Ms. Marvel. I mean, I'd prefer for a career voice actor to have gotten the role, but I wouldn't hate it.

Pavi and Nisha's voice actors -- indeed, any child voice actors -- should remain anonymous, like Bluey does.

I have slightly mixed feelings on this. As far as protecting the child actors from insane people, I firmly agree. But if they stick with voice acting as a career, how does that work? Do they get private references confirming they played those roles that they can somehow include in any auditions etc.? I just don’t know how this stuff works honestly!

I mean, yes? They'll have tax documents and people they've worked with. It wouldn't be that hard.
