Mod Announcement Rule Changes + Feedback Thread

Hey folks, as you may have noticed we have made some changes to the rules. Below is an overview but feel free to comment any questions or your feedback. Additionally we cut the number of post flairs to make the list less crowded.

Removed Rules

  • We removed the rule banning the sale of third party products. There are artists and other creators in the fandom who sell their work and users here that may be interested. Fans can use their own discretion in making a purchase, and you can of course still report bots as spam.
  • The "personal information" rule was removed as well. But in that case its because that's already covered under the sites TOS and has its own report function.

New Rule

  • The sub now has a repost rule. We don't want to be overly strict as we know there will always be new fans, but please try not to post something that was already shared here recently or is a frequent repost.

Other Rules

  • For some of the other rules we just tweaked/cleaned up the wording to make things more clear.

Recently Me and my girlfriend have watched ATLA. It's not the first time for me, but for my gf it's the first time and she love this show. She made me this Azula's crown because she know that Azula is my fav character and when we finished the finale (if I remember right, after the Azula's breakdown 💔😭 best way to consoling people) 💕. Now, We are continuing with the comics and LoK soon, and nothing...I think I love her more than before for this 💕🔥. Peace Hope my English is ok

I have an earth bender theory that’s kinda scary to think about

So we all know that earth benders can metal bend… and if you all remember that some foods have iron in them. With that being said, I theorize that if they trained and focused enough… they could potentially take control or eliminate the person with the iron in their blood, like what magneto did in X2 (essentially their own form of blood bending)

The older I become, the more my favorite cartoons make sense and reveal the deeper meaning behind them

Hot take: I like TLOK better than ATLA and it’s all because of this non-avatar GOAT

If there where more nations besides the ones shown, what would you have in mind?

If I had to pick one new group, that would be vikings. Since the water tribes are based off of first nation/inuit and they have a very interesting culture, it would be cool to see them interact with these new land people.

What if Aang had died instead of freezing himself?

Would the world have been better off with a new avatar instead of being left without one for 100 years?

I've just realized something big

Upvotes

Hello! I've just realized what I think is a big incoherence in the lore of Avatar. From the series of Aang we learn that the original source of bending were the flying bison, the dragons, the badgermoles and the moon and ocean spirits. But in Korra's series we learn instead that humanity not learned, but acquired bending, and not from the original sources listed above but from the lionturtles.

Do you know if is there an official link between the two things or is a mistake made by the creators?

I've realized this after watching both series after 4 times.

Every time I see him sneaking food while the others are talking, or when he gorged himself in the palace and they were trying to stuff him in a vent and he was too fat, or when he went looking for Appa in Tales of Ba Sing Se, I just want to pick him up and give him a hug and then feed him. He is so cute!!!

Is this an example of narcissistic collapse?

Azula appears to have many narcissistic traits - lying, manipulation, grandiose self esteem and lack of empathy (except that one time she apologised to Ty Lee after she made her cry??) so it’s not surprising that when she lost control over her friends and the battle to Katara, she had a meltdown. Symptoms include:

-Rage or anger outbursts -Intense shame or humiliation -Blaming others or deflecting -Mood swings -Anxiety or panic -Depression-like symptoms -Self-destructive or impulsive actions -Fragile or unusually vulnerable behavior

What do you guys think?

Just finished The Last Air Bender!

I loved it so much, binged it in 3 days and loved every second of it. I wish I watched it back when it first aired on Nickelodeon. But I do have a question, should I watch Legend of Korra or not? I remember the show being controversial and hated when it first came out but I’m unsure if the perception of the show has changed. Also if anyone has a 1/12 scale figure recommendation for Aang it would be appreciated!

I don't really see people talk about Aang's trauma all that much so I'd like to ask, how would a scene like this go if it were aang instead?

Original Avatar Story

Hi guys, I’m writing my own story set in the avatar universe! It’s called Avatar: The Shattered Cycle

Here’s the official description for it:

Long ago, the Avatar cycle shattered. The world has survived without balance for generations, haunted by restless spirits and torn by fractured nations. The people whisper that the Avatar is gone forever.

But in a remote mining town, a troubled earthbender named Kael unleashes a surge of power he cannot explain - one that makes the desperate call him the Avatar reborn. Kael knows it's a lie, but belief spreads faster than fire, and it chains him to a role he never asked for.

Hunted by those who would use him and haunted by spirits who seem to know his name, Kael flees with Aya, a sharp-tongued mechanic and his oldest friend. They are soon joined by Shen, a scarred rebel earthbender who sees Kael as more danger than savior, and Lian, a fast-talking airbender trickster with a talent for trouble. Together, the four form a reluctant bond, tested with every step into a wider world unraveling without balance.

But in the shadows, a dangerous faction moves to ensure the Avatar never rises again - led by the cunning Ren, a man as ruthless as he is drawn to Kael. Their paths are bound to collide, not only in battle but in the space between enmity and something more dangerous.

Caught between the weight of belief, the fury of spirits, and his own fractured power, Kael must answer a question no one has asked before:

If the Avatar cycle is broken what takes its place?

I’ve already uploaded the first episode on to wattpad, if you’d like to read it, here’s the link:

I’d pick Earth and probably just use it to make awesome buildings n stuff and sell them.
