Bloch Elation vs Performa D

Has anyone tried both the elation and performa in D width? I’ve seen people calling the elation wide but is it comparable/close to the D width? There’s a store 1hr away from me where I could try them on but I don’t want to make the trip if I shouldn’t bother. The widest point of my feet is right before my toes so my pinky can get a little cramped even in wide shoes, but my arches are really more high than wide.

I think we might have similar feet, high arches + slightly wide feet. I very much prefer the performa over elation. I was a bit disappointed because I was super excited to try Elation since it's one of the first to have a left and right side. When I put them on and did a few tendus and rises, I'm not sure why it bunches up strangely towards my pinky toe.

What toe shape do you have? For me the first 3 toes are longer and then it slopes. Also I found that the Elation has waaay shorter 'vamp' than the Performa. Maybe that also influences things for you

First two are longer and then third is slightly shorter. Fourth and fifth are significantly shorter. Relatively speaking, i have shorter toes and require pointe shoes with a very low vamp or i wont get over the box.

Yes, like I said under another post (https://www.reddit.com/r/BALLET/comments/1naskz5/comment/ncx4ec8/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) : I have tried both. I wouldn't call the Elation wide (more C-width), but since it is more toe-shaped it just allows your toes more space like they need and thus require less space in other parts of the shoe.

I love the elation! Performa is so-so for me. I don’t prefer the heel on it. I love the width and vampires of elation, and most importantly where sole hits on the ball of my foot.
