Voelen-vous eine verschil entre patriotisme und fier van Belgica?

Ma Frau en fille sont aan das fête nationaal. Ich ben très trots van Belgisch te être und alles que ons kleine land représente maar geine nationalistische sentiment. Vestund-vous mij?

Interesting! Flemish from Belgium employs a lot of French it seems. Or am I mistaken? I always found it more soothing than Dutch ;).

Edit: thanks to Aravuir, I understand that this is not Flemish, but Belgicaans (fictional language).

It's Belgicaans, a fictional language consisting of french and dutch (and some german) thrown together till it's understandable enough for everyone. Never seen out of this sub tbh.

It's a bit of a meme language, since most of Flemish people are trilingual. We speak dutch, french and german, so this sub is funny to us because we mix all three here and outsiders are very confused hehe

I don't actually know german but reading german is close enough to dutch to understand it. German is an optional language in most of the flanders while dutch and french are obligatory. You'll notice some people only mix dutch and french here
