Genuine question but why did Superman let his stepfather die here like Jesus Christ do something

Jonathan raised Superman with the idea that he shouldn't, under any circumstances, reveal his powers, because of potential negative consequences both for Clark himself and humanity as a whole.

Isn't superman fast enough to do it unnoticed? (This one too)

He deadass displays reaction time and speed that allows him to perceive and throw hands with the Flash in JL so yeah he’s fast as fuck

  1. I personally haven't seen this particular version of Superman having such capabilities.

  2. People there are still going to notice Jonathan suddenly teleporting from tornado to under the bridge, abd that's going to raise suspicion.

  1. Run β€œnormal” speed to β€œrescue” Pa.

  2. Grab him, hold him tight. He’s your Pa.

  3. Let the tornado carry you, the invincible man, and Pa cradled safely in your arms to another location.

  4. β€œWow, it’s a miracle we both survived unscathed! Praise Jesus!” (We are in Kansas which is predominantly Christian so this is what Clark would most likely say)

Ah, yes, being seen as a literall messiah who can perform miracles thanks to the Gods will is EXACTLY what Pa Kent wanted for Clark. It's not like we already got a scene of a woman claiming that Clark was blessed by the God because he managed to save a drowning schoolbus with her son to illustrate the entire point./s

Superman may be invincible, but Pa Kent isn't. Unless Supes could grab him and fly away immediatly, Jonathan would have gotten killed or mortally injured. And Clark would get exposed.

And even that is a best-case scenario, because Clark mastered his flight abilities only after discovering kryptonian ship in Arctica, LONG after Pa Kents death.

1) Ok.

2) It's shouldn't be problem if there no video proof of this (and probably most people wouldn't pay attention to this while their surroundings gets destroyed.)

Yeah he never showed this much super speed in movies. In bvs everyone jokes of the aura farming at the court house bomb scene. Maybe he's not that fast in zack's world. Then in jl he's fighting with flash in super speed πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Didn't this version of Superman fight hand to hand with the Flash? Sure seems fast to me

He didn't exactly reach the same speed, only noticed him.

And even, young Clark Kent was far less expirienced and didn't master all of his powers.

If he goes that fast he'll just disintegrate his dad lol. He doesn't have super durability like flash or soup
