I do hate that, and I'm one of the folks who's not at all offended by women being a part of this game. It's kind of insulting to turn every female character into a 2 dimensional, overly-confident hero archetype. There's room for complexity, or portraying them as average soldiers and such, like a female sniper who's as tired and flawed as everyone else. It's a much less pandering way of adding that perspective of the war.

Because if female characters are portrayed as anything other than perfect badass mary sues, the devs/writers/whoever will be called sexist.

By who, Kotaku and Polygon? Who cares honestly.

Well unfortunately, game developers listen to them and take their criticisms to heart. As apparent from this trailer.

Being that it's a Swedish studio I wouldn't be surprised if they actually have similar belief systems to the writers of those publications.

Either way, I think its a shame to choose political correctness over historical accuracy when it comes to design decisions that do not have any impact on game play

Hahaha fuck off, we in Sweden are nothing like that. I was at their office yesterday, never in fucking hell did I see anything that resembled PC.

You can have your views about Sweden, but you're a fucking retard if you think like you do.
