The UK absolutely does not universally use the metric system. Are you ignoring stone? Pints?

Americans like to ignore that it's our system that's the gloriously named Imperial system, theirs is merely US Customary Units, and there's significant differences between the two especially for volumes.

Even our currency wasn't fucking metric until the 70s. 240 pence to the bloody pound, 960 farthings to a pound. That's the reason our ungrateful colonies disgracefully adopted the dollar.
