If you’re really financially struggling I understand. But you could have all the best stuff he has by being literally any other celebrity in the UK. Im not saying he’s worse off than every body else. But people make out like he has it all and I really don’t think he does. I’d take the life of pretty much anybody in the middle class before I take his. People make out like he’s the luckiest person alive and I just don’t buy it
He could abdicate the throne if he found the life that hard. Personally I wouldn't want to be born into that institution but if I lived in a literal palace for a week then maybe I'd change my mind
He likely feels the pressure of tradition and history though. A damaging abdication could spell the end of the monarchy in Britain and then what? We end up with President Johnson, or President Farage, or President Clarkson.
But even if the monarchy survived, William would be thrust into the leading role. Suddenly William would no longer be able to spend what little Time he has with his wife and kids. Likely Charles will go on as long as he can so will gets to see his kids grow up in slightly more normalcy as a Prince rather than if he was king. You have to remember that. The idea of abdication is clouded by the fact you will then be willingly throwing your eldest born into the absolute shitshow and circus that is the British Royal family. You grandchildren will then be bumped up one level, poor George will become the heir apparent and even more restrictions placed on him at a young age. Yes yes I know, boo hoo a flea circus of tiny violins strikes up the sad song.....but when you ask "they can just abdicate" remember they aren't just thinking about themselves when they leave, it's the shtook they'll leave their family in that possibly stays their hand.
