While I’m sure the Royal Family are prissy fucks, the guy in the interview, Paul Burrell, is a con man that will say anything to make money and stay relevant

If the valet's job is to lay out the clothes and prep the bathroom and all that stuff, then what's the issue with valet's doing those things? If you can afford to hire a valet, what else are they going to do? The ironing the clothes thing is probably a holdover from when laundry was hung to dry, as it makes crispy air-dried clothes a lot softer. My non-hoity toity grandmother used to iron cloth diapers to make them more comfortable. My point being, a lot of the complaining sees to be about people doing their jobs more than anything else. If the royal family did these chores themselves, why would they employ valets?

If the royals did their chores themselves, valets would probably do something more productive instead
