A light rain

It's raining today. I live in a desert, so this is rare. I walked to the mailbox barefoot and splashed in the puddles. They were warm. The air smells clean and my jacket is wet.

Does it have a smell? Like most red-blooded humans I adore petrichor but have never had the experience of rain in the desert.

I love rain when it's been dry, I always go out and having a little dance in the puddles.
