This kind of species tau buka mulut pot pet pot pet saja. Real contribution? Takde. She is the type of mother in law complaining the dishes her daughter in law prepares - Macam ni je kau masak? Do better! Or the unsatisfied wife in the bed, humiliating the husband - Macam ni je kerja kau malam ni? Tak puas lagi aku. Do better! Melainkan mulut yang celupar, dia tak ada apa apa yang boleh dipersembahkan. Sial. Bodoh.

Aku fikir sama doh. Jenis perempuan banyak komen ni selalunya huduh gemuk dan hina serta malas. Let me add to you point. She will also be tue one complaining her mother in law giving advice to her and later blame the husband for being a mommy’s boy for not defending her laziness and cluelessness in doing anything

Typical attention seeker. Trying to gain publicity by showing how "patriotic" she is.
But then in the eye of the public, she is just a clown, a karen.

To be fair, she posted it in a public forum and to her followers. Someone else posted it here to deliberately farm rage. She’s - gasp - entitled to her opinion about the beautification of a public space.

Tbf she’s kinda right tho. Have you been to Pavillion KL before? Because their fountain deco is usually extravagant as hell like this one for Deepavali

Even then, I think this Deepavali pic is simpler than their standard festive designs. I’ve seen the fountain to be designed with chariots and flowers for Thaipusam I think. Not saying it is compulsory for the Pavi to have extravagant design for every festivities, but I do agree the merdeka deco is underwhelming compared to usual.

Please preach louder! OP post really missing the point. Takkan lah bulan kemerdekaan camtu je deco.

u/Historical-Ad4705 Aug 08 '25
To be fair, she’s not wrong. This “election party flags tied to a post” vibe seems pretty low effort, considering the mall would have a big decoration budget. It’s weird and discordant, and if I was a tourist, not even worth a snapshot.
It’s just an opinion, btw. Not a personal attack, and she was well within her rights to express it, especially since her intention was presumably to have them do better. Not sure why everyone is being personal against the OOP, ppl seem weirdly reactionary to any criticism.
10
u/sirgentleguy Aug 08 '25
Yeah it is pale in comparison to CNY and Christmas decos.
I think it is a valid criticism.

u/te-ro-a-way Aug 07 '25
She's just being patriotic. Schools "Merdeka" decoration is awesome, depends on the school of course.

I'm willing to bet that she doesn't have a single Jalur Gemilang hanging anywhere at her house this month, let alone an all out deco

If only these clowns have the same level of energy towards battling corruption and racism in this country….always going after a non existent issue for clout

Thread is full of such stupid content, then in the end all the comments will boil down to "Semua Salah Cina ".

u/Fun-Stock3356 Aug 08 '25
Agree. Threads are often full of these type of contents, not to forget the insane amount of gender wars there between the feminists and the incels smh 🤦🏻♂️
Glad I've uninstalled it long ago. Can't stand it after only for a few days

I see the comments in here. I’m just wondering you don’t have any issues for no effort on decorations for Merdeka? Like how they do suppar effort for Raya and Deepavali? Just wondering la.
3
u/socialdesire Aug 08 '25
Why would I care if a mall decorates for a festival or not?
If they have nice decorations I’ll probably go visit and maybe spend, if not I won’t be attracted to go.
It’s up to them to decorate and up to me on whether I’ll visit and spend.
Do we have to make it about some ideal or not loving the country enough?
4
u/Public_You_2973 Aug 08 '25
True for you, you do not care. But for those that felt like there’s no effort for the country, it just smack the country’s image. In Thailand and Indonesia (I can only say about these 2 countries because I’ve seen how they celebrate with my own eyes and experience) they really up their game for celebrating independence month. Idk if USA also celebrates kaw2 or not haha.
This is just matter of personal preference right. So like I said was wondering what other people’s opinion, and I can see a number of users in Reddit (idk if local Malaysians) really don’t care.

u/socialdesire Aug 08 '25 edited Aug 08 '25
Why would Pavillion KL be the benchmark here or the be all and end all for what we should deem as effort for Merdeka celebration.
Even if you look at the celebrations of other countries, it would be their parades, the flags and other decorations around the city, etc. Isn’t it a group effort from everyone? Why’s Pavilion KL being singled out? Are their neighbors nearby all contributing as well? And we have to celebrate both Merdeka and Malaysia day here. So potentially more deco would come later in the month instead.
Like I don’t even get why suddenly there’s this demand for Pavillion KL to do it or critique on them for not doing enough. Even last year their Merdeka deco was about sustainability and very minimal. Really, why is this an issue now? Why do socmed platforms promote posts like this? Who’s seeding these content? Who’s trying to make these content trend to create groupthink?
Get a grip and chill guys.

To downvote my comment says what about you? 🤔🤔
6
u/ammar96 Aug 08 '25
Nahh dun worry I gotchyu brah. I’m a frequent Bukit Bintang traveller, and I know Pavillion KL will usually go hard for the fountain decos for all festivities. This one is underwhelming.
2
u/Clear_Mode_9108 Aug 08 '25
You do know that the decorations would be inside the mall right? This is just purely rage baiting without giving a clearer picture
1
u/Public_You_2973 Aug 08 '25
Yeap I do. Same as during xmass, inside got decors a lot outside also got.

From her face alone you can tell how many IQ she has.
Maybe she’s expecting they repaint Pavilion into red blue yellow and white.

u/bb8b3 Aug 08 '25
Maybe Pavi need to put each fountain pecut different colours, red, blue, yellow, white. ❤💙💛🤍

Lack of effort probably reflects elite malaysians attitudes toward country. Also it's much harder to commodify national day compared to commodifying christmas or cny. My 2 cents.

The poison of social media where people try to get attention through any means possible

I'd give another issue... Malays not putting up Malaysian flags during this independence month but putting up Palestinian flags.. I've nothing against your support for the cause but there is a time and place for that... And this August and September should be focused on our nation. Yes I specifically say Malays because as a non Malay living in a housing area, only my house has the Malaysian flag.. Other houses don't.. Yet they will tell that my people are pendatangs...
1
u/Kenny_McCormick001 Aug 09 '25
Just state the obvious. People go out to buy stuff for Raya, Christmas, CNY, deepavali… etc No one go out to buy new stuff for national day. It’s a business, why would they spend money on something that targets no clientele?

Makcik had never walked into Pavillion, that's why she doesn't know the real deco is often inside.
