Update on New Colleague
As I expected, he made a lot of mistakes and is no longer working CS. He's now to focus solely on his work in financials. I can tell his supervisor is disappointed in him, not that surprised, made a lot of mistakes that could otherwise be prevented if he had just listened or be patient with. Screw up his financial part and he'll be getting the boot. Maybe he's just not cut out for too many responsibilities, about 10 days left then he's on his second month. Mistakes range from not knowing what to do, even after being advised just mere days ago, when something not in SOB appears. Giving unclear instructions to customers, like they're supposed to do A when B happens but he just told them to wait for B to happen. Sleeping, even if it's just closing his eyes, on the job. On a sidenote, he actually does three things. Helping out with customer service, which happens every day. Doing financial transfers, happens like a few times a week. Acting as an agent for new patients, his job isn't even a full agent, just get them the early numbers.

Maybe he was purposely doing a bad job on CS just so he wouldn't be involved anymore. As per what you said on your previous post:
His job technically isn't customer service, he's a part of the financial department that does transfers via better rates for overseas patients.
But hey, what do i know? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

You are letting a newbie's mistake become your source of anger and irritation to vent out your pseudo frustration at work. That is not fair to the new colleague and to yourself.
A lot of people still have this type of mindset, lashing out on juniors who made mistakes as if they never made a mistake in their life.
