If Baltimore has any orange bosu balls on the field, Judkins is gonna be fine.

How do I get a job as the ball roller guy?

Vice President of Rolling Ball Operations requires a bachelor's in computer science and a masters in physics

Dont forget 10 years experience

u/Fineous40 1d ago

I have been rolling balls my whole life. I have 10 years easy.

Underrated comment

Plus it’s an unpaid internship

u/Fineous40 1d ago

What about electrical engineering?

5

u/Good_From_70 1d ago

Last I heard the league office was looking to add that to the job description requirements by 2026

I have a bachelors in Computer Science. Probably not enough in this economy though

The sooner he's on the field the less Ford is on the field.

He can finally play his natural position (let the good RB do all the work and steal the TD)

You mean bench rider?

u/Kjaxx 1d ago

I’m convinced, put em in for 1000 yards

17

u/Fineous40 1d ago

What about the second half?

10

u/Martialartskenny 1d ago

2000 yards

u/woodworkrick8 1d ago

I can’t wait to take him off my bench in my fantasy league. Not this week, but for sure next week P.S. Hopefully after Sunday, I’m saying dammit I knew I should’ve started him.

Damn those seem like slow feet for how much hype he's gotten

u/Oskie5272 16h ago

To be fair to him, that long drill where he looks the slowest also isn't really made for getting up to speed. He also missed a lot of time and needs to work into game shape

You're right though that his get could definitely be quicker, but being shifty isn't really a core component of his game. He doesn't make people miss with wiggle, but rather by running through tackles and falling forward when he is tackled. Because of this, I'm not overly concerned with his lack of foot quickness since that's not his game and not why we drafted him. In terms of actual speed he's basically exactly average for this class and the fast side of average generally. He's less likely to hit big home runs consistently, but it's not like it's out of the question. Not saying he will be this, but he's actually a fairly similar prospect coming out as Chubb was. They had similar styles and numbers coming out of college, which is why I think we took him over Henderson. Judkins is an inch taller and like 9lb lighter than Chubb, being slightly faster and presumably slightly weaker though without really affecting his running style. His comps post combine actually were Chubb, Hunt, and how Mixon. If you're an analytics guy, pretty sure he had good athleticism numbers at the combine and falls in the ideal range for size

Who knows what we actually have in him, but I thought he'd be a good round 2 pick coming out and think he'll end up being a solid RB in the league. Though I did prefer Henderson, Judkins is the safer, less injury prone pick of the two. I'm not really worried until we actually have reason to be. We just need to get him ramped up quickly so hopefully he was working while in limbo

People like you are the reason I scroll through these posts looking for well thought out replies with actual statistics.

Awesome details :) after week 1 it looks like we got a pretty great consolation prize for Henderson in Sampson, yeah?

u/Howlinboot 10h ago

I wanted Henderson too, but the one thing Judkins had on Treveyon was that Judkins had been healthy the past 3 years, while Treveyon had missed the end of 2 OSU seasons. As a Sophomore, Judkins led the SEC in rushing. He followed that up with a top 3 SEC rushing performance. Then started over Henderson in OSU's biggest games. Judkins broke a few long runs in the championship. I was torn on Henderson. Henderson was a bit more explosive but it was actually pretty close. But Judkins had proven to be more durable. Henderson has the higher upside but also is a bit riskier in this division IMO.

Wow, thank you for great insight off my pessimistic post 🏅

Man I can’t wait to see this guy cook

12

u/blathers-pet-spider 1d ago

I read that sentence WAY too fast and needed to double back around

3

u/shabanko12 1d ago

Ha I thought the same!

4

Is he starting a recipe channel on instagram?

3

u/Major_Enthusiasm1099 1d ago

He ain't King Henry but he'll run through you

5

u/NatKingSwole19 1d ago

Bro's calves are bigger than my thighs, good grief.

1

u/Nightcinder I RUINED CHRISTMAS 1d ago

who has bigger calves, chubb garrett or judkins

4

u/mcsmackington 1d ago

chubb fr

4

u/squiffyCobra 1d ago

I already hate that I love him

2

u/moonthink 1d ago

I've seen Chubb do those same drills but with seemingly much more intensity (and this was after his injury too). Hopefully 10 gets up to speed soon...

Quinshonnnn Derulooooo

1

u/SeedyRedwood 1d ago

lol slow AF

0

u/DruncleBuck 1d ago

I’m sorry but I agree with the guys getting downvoted he looks out of shape almost

1

u/Decent-Classroom-784 1d ago

Don't worry, they'll attack you because you can tell he's not fully back. I don't understand how it's hard to see?

3

u/DruncleBuck 1d ago

Looks GASSED

1

u/3riversdawg 1d ago

Has he had any tackle contact yet? Besides this week?

2

u/Scatheli 1d ago

Don’t think they are full tackling in practice during season and in training camp it was just a few select practices other than the preseason games.

2

u/3riversdawg 1d ago

Heard he may not play this week. Can’t wait to see what our second round picks produces.

1

u/DanielHSSports 1d ago

As exciting it feels to potentially see Judkins on Sunday, it would be really foolish for the team to make him active after he missed training camp and the whole preseason. Throwing him out there after only two days of practice is coaching malpractice

u/Uncle_poopy 1d ago

It’s the browns though lol

-3

u/mitchij2004 1d ago

Can he wear this helmet tho?

8

u/itsgoofytime69 1d ago

Obviously he can wear it, he's wearing it in the video

1

u/woodworkrick8 1d ago

Actually Doubs did wear the protective outer shell helmet in last nights game, someone had to be the first, I know shiny helmets. Do look good especially the eagle. But,,,,,

-19

u/DoubleT02 1d ago

He’s quickly getting up to speed by running highschool RB drills…? I would hope he was doing this the entire off season period

-20

u/finix2409 1d ago edited 1d ago

He looks pretty bad here

Edit: downvoted for saying he doesn’t look like the next Jim Brown. I want the guy to succeed but this isn’t a hype video or anything special

16

u/chemistrybonanza 1d ago

What exactly is he doing poorly? I am no expert. He looks explosive to me.

-2

u/fantfb 1d ago edited 17h ago

He’s certainly no Dylan Sampson

Edit: hey fuck y’all for downvoting me. Sampson is a BEAST… You’ll see

-11

u/Decent-Classroom-784 1d ago

You're getting down voted but his quickness looks down. Definitely wasn't training as hard as his teammates have been practicing because I know tired legs when I see them. (I was a HS assistant and ALMOST college assistant)

Or he's just half-assing it.

5

u/Opposite_Sea_6257 1d ago

Do you realize how dumb this sounds?

-3

u/Decent-Classroom-784 1d ago

Doesn't sound dumb at all that a professional athlete coming out of college and dealing with things bigger than football isn't in the best shape to start. No, it's not dumb. He's definitely quicker than what we're seeing. He'll get there but he does look slower.

6

u/Opposite_Sea_6257 1d ago

Trust me bro, I was a high school assistant 😂😂😂😂

-3

u/Decent-Classroom-784 1d ago

I worked for the Browns also and have worked with numerous D1 athletes. Not everybody is a poser.

Well considering his teammates have been tackling, blocking, etc. in practice (including a few against the defending Champions) and played in a few games id say they definitely did more than he could on his own during his time off.

I've seen him do drills as a Buckeye and he's legitimately quicker than this. He might not even play this week which kind of proves my point. He's not in game shape yet. That's a real thing.
