[Justice] #Browns QBs coach Bill Musgrave says all the backups—Dillon Gabriel, Shedeur Sanders and Bailey Zappe—are getting scout team reps.

Said it's atypical to have 3 guys running scout team but they're using it as a chance to develop their game while helping prep for opposing defenses.

Players on team are participating in practice. What news!

The question was asked because yesterday, the knucklehead element of the media and fanbase was atwitter with rumors that Shedeur Sanders was "not getting any reps" and was "throwing to equipment guys and athletic trainers" or some such.
Shedeur Sanders not allowed to practice not running scout team. Bailey Zappe is running scout team

Was this the same knucklehead element that said Gabriel didn't belong on the field with the ball boys, right before he beat the brakes off of Sanders in the preseason?

Huh? He had 1 good game and so did Sanders. Preseason means absolutely nothing though. Nobody was scheming for Gabriel or Sanders. I hope Flacco plays all 17 because that means we are winning but to say DG beat the breaks off Sanders is laughable.

DG never had to be removed from the game just to get an opportunity to evaluate the rest of the roster. In DG's bad game, he still moved the offense well, he just had 2 bad turnovers that overshadowed the rest of that performance.

That’s my point he was actually in there with some starters also. I think he did well overall but I’m not going to judge him off that just like I’m not judging what SS did in Carolina or VS Rams. Hopefully we don’t have to see either one but I think DG will look much different when defenses are game planning all week for him.

They had one game each but the skill level of the teams they had good games against had a vast skill difference. Sanders looked good against the Panthers but fell apart against a better team, Gabriel did not fall apart against that same better team.

This is why I was against drafting him if you didn't think he's a legit guy. It was always going to be a circus. Scout teams are run by guys that can best replicate how the other team plays. Last week, all 3 probably.could show elements of burrow. This week I'd assume Gabriel or maybe even a backup corner/wr would be replicate many elements of Lamar's game. The whole point of practice now is to prepare for games. If he wants to get extra work in, grab some backup wrs and go do some extra work on your own.
