Started working out in Jan 2025 (labelled J) and I know a long way to go. Fundamentals of hypertrophy Jeff Nippard. Feel like there was a bit of a jump in March (m) post creatine but less obvious to now but bit more toned. Appreciate itās a slow change and think mainly I seem to still be eating at maintenance and have struggled to eat more with worries about bulking too fast, but probably undergoing it. Itās hard as mainly veggie/fish and with little kids/wife I struggle to calorie count. Also some weeks only managed 2/3 of the workouts due to work. Try to do boxing fitness once a week. 78kg at start of year now 86.5kg but creatinine partly helped. I feel I should keep trying to slowly bulk and guesstimate my body fat at about 15-17%. I have a bit of pectus excavatum. Feel my arms are small hence the desire to bulk more before cutting. But interested in peopleās thoughts/guidance. 35y

Coming back after a year or so off from the gym. Iām flexed in good lighting here.
What yāall think? Cut and then start the redemption arc, or just try and lean bulk?

My first 3 pics are me right now, the last 2 pics are me where I started in my weight loss journey.
I started around 295 lbs, and I have been cutting weight for a little under 2 years. I am now around 175lbs. I have been working out for around a year, and have made decent progress. I am around 16%-19% bodyfat, but I carry fat around my lower stomach.
I want to cut more, but I have hit a major wall in the gym in terms of progressing from week to week in my lifts. Should I finish my cut and swap to a bulk and gain muscle, or should I continue my cut until I am leaner? I would probably continue to cut to 165lbs.
Does anybody have any tips or advice?

I've been bulking for about six months and am thinking that if I bulk further, I risk putting on more fat and making my future cut harder, therefore risking muscle loss. Am I overthinking, and should I just continue my bulk?

Iāve been cutting since March-ish. No idea what my bf% is (though open to estimates from yall), so what metric do you typically use to decide when to transition to maintaining or bulking? Time, weight, bf%, boredom? lol

Iāve been super busy with work and havenāt gone to the gym in months but I am getting back into it. Iāve also eaten like crap but Iām meal prepping again to fix that. I have been running lately, a jog pace for most of it, lasting 30 minutes to an hour almost every day. I weigh 184lbs rn and am 6 foot and 28 years old. Should I cut or do a bulk? Thanks in advance!

Been lifting for 9 months. I take creatine, eat my body weight in protein, prioritize sleep, train every set to failure. donāt know what my body fat % is right now, itās around 20-24. I feel skinny fat as hell, donāt know if I should try to ābody recompā as they say, but I donāt even know how to go about that as I see so many different opinions on that whether itās eating at your maintenance, or a slight deficit, or some mf saying body recomps donāt even work.

I'm 23m 182cm, My waist is 85cm neck is 37cm. I've been cutting since jan from 94.7kg to now 82kg and I body fat of 24 percentage nearly. So this cut is exhausting me. Eating nearly 1900-2000 cals per day with 130-140g protein which I can afford now. My question is these love handles are very ugly to self reflect and this cut is exhausting me mentally. I tried going for 1800 calories but they give me headaches. I do 4x gym with 20 min cardio sessions with each gym day. I can not do more cardio due to my desk job. What should I do? Any expertise answer or experienced answer is more than welcomed. I've only left diet in july month but now my issue is I'm having a platueu at 82kg. . I don't know what to do. Gym sessions feel so stressed and daily life sucks with this prolonged cut. Help me out dear gym bros! šš»

I made a post on here last week asking for advice on whether I should go on a bulk or a cut. One individual, whose name I have blurred out because I donāt want them getting harassed, decided it would be appropriate to call me āfat as fuckā and (based on his use of the phrase lmao) seemingly laugh at me even considering to go on a bulk.
I will admit going on a bulk in my current state would be a terrible idea and that it was foolish to consider it. However, with that being said, I do not think this excuses this individuals abusive language towards me. Everyone else who replied to my post was straightforward with me about my problems and didnāt have sugarcoat anything.
They were honest in telling me what I needed to hear, something that I greatly appreciate them for. The difference between there comments and the user in question is that they were still able to do so in a professional manner without using insults or derogatory language. When I confronted said user through private messages, you can clearly see they used the common (but wildly incorrect) excuses of āiāM JuSt tELliNg yOu wHaT YoU NeEd tO hEArā and āiāM jUsT bEiNg HoNEstā.
While honesty is important in telling people they have problems they need to address, it is important to remember that you can be honest while still being respectful. This is evident quite literally every other comment under my post who, as previously stated, were blunt while still managing to be polite. The honesty excuse is one often used by bullies to try and justify their harmful comments. There is a quote I like that perfectly sums up that perversion of āhonestyā: āHonesty without empathy is just rudeness crueltyā

Hi there, I know I have to hit the gym harder and bulk, however I also want to lose these hip dips. Where to start first? Is Intermitttent Fasting an option?
Happy about any advice.
