Gary's. Missoula, MT. They do ONE thing and ONE thing only
Yeah, so, I couldn't get mustard or pickles... but they were not missed.
Also, told me if I brought my own mustard or pickles, just bring enough to share and they'd be happy to add.
Shout out to "Nick at the T&C" for the perfectly cooked burger.
(Swear I'm not a shill. C'mon!? No mustard or pickles!? They serve their sodas hot... Burgers, no complaint. And theyre like $8)
8/10
Local beef to boot

Homemade Caesar smash burger
Burger night! This week’s special was a Caesar burger. It included home ground center cut and blade chuck smash patties, Fontina cheese, my mustard pickles, and a mound of Caesar salad on a buttered and griddled homemade bun. Salad included lettuce, bacon crumbles, Parm Crisps, croutons, cherry tomatoes, and Caesar dressing.

Smashed Burgers with Peach & Pickle Relish
Still learning the art of smashed burgers. I’m using 80/20 ground beef, American cheese, and a seared peach glazed with soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and chopped pickles for a sweet and savory kick. It’s all layered on sesame seed potato buns with a Dijon-mayo sauce.

Double griddled bacon burger with the works
- 2x 85g patties, griddled, seasoned with S&P (+MSG)
- 2 slices of bacon, ½ slice of Kraft deluxe cheese
- Onions, double sour pickles, mustard, ketchup
- Lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo
- Toasted brioche (soft style) buns
Double sour pickles are difficult to find around here, so I buy Bick's sandwich cut pickle slices (garlic), and add citric acid (< .5%, a dash on 6 pickle slices).

Double fried onion smash (carbon steel griddle on induction does not turn out great)
I've been making 10/10 smash burgers on stainless steel pans, perfect crust etc. but I wanted more surface area to do more than one at a time. I'm on my second Made In carbon steel pan after a return. Both warp (even with very slowly stepped up heating), my thermometer shows wildly varying temps all over the pan, and even at top heat the ability to form a good smash crust is only a fraction as good as stainless steel...I still ate em, they were pretty good but more of a 6.5/10.
80/20 beef, white and yellow American cheese, onions, pickles, mustard on toasted potatoe bun
TL;DR Made In Caron Steel griddles suck on induction stoves. Stainless steel is the way

Kansas City Steak Burger
We really liked the hot dogs so this time I ordered the steak burgers. Served medium rare- Brioche Bun, cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms and onion with mayo and ketchup. Has anyone ordered the Steak Burgers from Kansas City Steak company and are you a fan? My BF really liked it!
