Recently Moved to Poland From India and im trying to explore please give suggestions
Hey guys, I hope y’all are doing great. As the title says, I recently shifted to Poland from India. There are a few things I want to know and clear out with people who stay and are residents of Poland 😅.
So to begin with, I shifted here with my family. It’s just been like a week here. I like it here. I stay in Bydgoszcz. I like how calm people are here and how good the environment is. I can tell how better the quality of living and the people over here are, and I appreciate it.
I am still learning Polish. As of now, I’ve learned very few words, but in general, I’m just very nervous. When I go out and people try to talk to me, all I can say to them is hello and thank you as of now. I get scared to look at anyone directly as I feel like Indians have made their identity over here as creeps, and I’m not trying to be one (no offense to my fellow Indians). I also read that people over here get scared when someone tries to speak in English too 🥲, so I can’t speak English either. I know the only way to get over this is by learning Polish faster, but as of now, I want to explore the city and talk to people around me comfortably. What can I do for this?
The second thing is I am basically a freelancer. I used to run a small-scale marketing agency in India. I am very good with everything that’s related to marketing, and I also have a lot of skills like graphic designing, video editing, and building e-com stores, and a lot more. So I still work with a few clients from India. Now the issue over here is I’m not planning to attend college anytime soon, at least for the next 6-12 months, so there’s no chance for me to make friends directly. Any suggestions for me to make friends according to my situation? And the other thing is, based on my skills, how do I find remote work over here in Poland?
I am a very career-focused guy, and I want to make a good living over here. I want to know the people. I want to know more about the culture over here. I absolutely love it, and I’m trying to respect it a lot, and eventually, I want to get to know people my age and go partying.
So can you guys suggest how I can make friends over here and what all should I keep in mind whenever I interact with local people? I really don’t want to upset them. I’m trying to be one of y’all. I’m 22 years old.
