Permit Process Best town to submit RICCW as non-resident
Just looking for an update on where I can submit my RI CCW application as a non-resident. East Greenwich is no longer accepting them, and a friend told me Providence was tough. My application was submitted to the AG but apparently my letter of need wasn't sufficient. They recommended going through a town. I'm willing to drive as I often go that way on business. Any suggestions??

Yeah, unfortunately the AG is may issue and requires a very strong showing of need to even consider issuing. Were you issued a denial or did they return your application? Since it would be unfortunate to have a denial on your record.
They’re right that the towns/cites are shall issue and issue to non-residents. Providence is no longer tough but are a little backed up. They currently have the easiest application in the state. They don’t even require a letter of need like some towns nor require references. Definitely don’t try Foster, they used to be good but now take two plus years.
