Cue system change 2015 Cadillac ATS Performace AWD

I have recently purchased a CUE sound system to replace the standard CUE in my car. When I plugged it in the screen was black. I looked online and tried some troubleshooting but nothing worked. The screen does turn on, but no images appear. This was supposedly a working system according to the seller. I've seen on rock auto they sell the replacement screen for $15 and they come pre-prgrammed. But before I go tearing this system apart I was wondering if anyone has changed this out before and had the same issue. Is it just a bad screen or is there some kind of software I need to install to the cue system for it to work on my car. I've attached pictures of the one I bought and the one I currently has in the car (small screen).

Did you do this because the screen looked like it was cracking and was ghost touching? If so, return this, keep the stock unit, and buy from cuescreens.com. You’ll save lots of $ and it’ll be a guaranteed fit since it’s the stock unit.

Yes when I bought the car the screen had cracks in them and the chrome coating is coming off. The touch function still works fine thankfully. But I also wanted the bigger screen and the ability to have use the navigation
