Job Search ExxonMobil Internship

I really want an ExxonMobil internship. I'm going to be a junior, and I have a 3.94 GPA, was a TA for chem 1 and 2, and had prior work experience in project management. I am doing research in fluid dynamics and electrokinetics, although I am trying to pursue other research opportunities because I don't like it, and I am going to be an officer for AIChE at my school (American Institute of Chemical Engineers). How likely am I to get an internship, and what do I need to do to get one?

When I was in school Exxon would do these secret lunches/breakfast/dinners for the students they liked. Usually it was all students with 3.8 GPA or above. They would invite you (you didn't even have to apply) before the career fair and you would mingle with the recruiters. I realized that if you did not get invited to the secret Exxon lunch/breakfast/dinner, you were not getting an interview. IDK if this was just the school I went to, but your post reminded me of this. But if you were at my school, you would probably get a free lunch from Exxon with that resume haha.

Wow, what? That's crazy haha. I'm assuming that meant that you applied a bit before the career fair?

No you didn't actually, they would basically recruit the best students independent of whether they applied to Exxon or not. I believe they spoke with some of the ex-Exxon professors to get an idea of who the best students are. But I have no idea really.
