Career Advice What to do?

Hey , I need some help on what to do. I’ve accepted an offer for a petrochemical company but recently received another offer for a super major . I really want to work at the super major.

Accept the job you really want and send your thanks and apologies to the company you already accepted. Be professional and honest, they will understand. Don’t burn any bridges. Congrats!! 🎉

This! Communication is important. Contact them immediately. You honestly don’t owe them anything but it’ll allow someone else to get that job sooner.

You do whatever is best for you. It’s your life, the petro company will find someone else

You answer your own question. It’s your life, do what you want to do.

Take the supermajor. petrochem isn’t doing too hot right now they might even be relieved you are rescinding their offer

Tell them you got a better offer and appreciate their offer and time. Then move on. It will be okay, this happens all the time.

I’ve known several people who’ve quit jobs in the first few days/weeks because a better offer from their job search came through. No one cares. Your labor is a commodity. Sell it to the highest bidder.
