Having a baby without my mum (and dad)
Really missing my mum, growing my first baby and feeling so sad I can’t ask her things and she can’t teach me, and my daughter wont know her. My dads dead too so it feels really lonely. 💔

I felt the same when I was pregnant, then my son was born on my mom's birthday and it was a huge reminder that she is still with me. There are lots of times I wish I could call her for parenting advice or just to tell her about him. I like to think that he has met her though ❤️

i’m sorry. it’s really hard to grow a whole human as it is, but having neither person who helped create you to share it with is a special kind of painful.
both of my parents had departed by the time i was pregnant with my second and there was an underlying twinge of melancholy the whole 9 months - i can only imagine how it must feel to go through those feelings with your first.
congratulations on the baby 🤍
