What makes a carabiner different from a keychain
They both functionally have the gate mechanism. There are also carabiner keychains but we wouldn’t use those to actually climb. So we know there’s a difference between carabiners and keychains. But what actually defines the difference? Is it the shape? The utility?
What if you just made a really strong keychain that doesn’t look like a traditional carabiner and used it to climb, would that become a carabiner?
Or if you used a real carabiner to carry keys, then the carabiner becomes a keychain?
But if someone says picture a keychain you wouldn’t think of carabiner. So we know there’s a difference but what actually is it

Is considered aid to listening to songs that mention climbing?
For example: - Another day by Dream Theater - Reality by Grimes
I am thinking about more examples, but you can also contribute to the aid list :)

Anybody know of any heavy boulders?
So to keep things short I’m a 1250kg climber, I came from a powerman, stronghike, mountain lifting background and have tried to enjoy bouldering. It’s nice not to muck with the rope or fiddle with barbells.
Trouble is I just pick up the boulder. I get distracted partway through and pick it up and throw it over my head. Are there any heavy boulders out there even I can’t lift?

ATTENTION!
I climbed way more pitches than you today. Thus making me a better person.
Please continue on with your less elevated evening

Tifu downgrading boyfriends route.
Hi, I've been climbing with my boyfriend on and off for couple of years now. Last time we met it was during a competition. He won. He got so lucky because some of the problems got set in his style.
Anyhow, as revenge I checked the area he climbed in and I saw that he did a first assend on an 8C route. I went there the next day to climb it and downgraded it to 8b+ instead.
Now when we talk he doesn't send hearts <3 on messenger anymore.

Is bouldering real rock climbing?
No! This is an artificially molded slab of polyurethane bolted to plywood. It is color-coded and has a rating system that rewards attempts with unnatural spikes of dopamine. There are beanbags on the floor. You are wearing banana-yellow shoes with no tread on them. The air is conditioned and there is lo-fi hip hop playing in the background.
You have never touched granite. You have never feared death. On top of that, you pay a monthly fee from which I can easily live as king dirtbag in yosemite.
This is not rock climbing. It is but a grotesque imitation, a sanitized vertical playground for the risk-averse and chalk-dusted. It is an amalgamation of plastic, plywood, and ego, sculpted into routes that feign adversity but offer none. God had no hand in the creation of this technicolor tomb of frictionless holds and beta sprays. The existence of this artificial crag proves that God is either impotent to stop mankind’s descent into delusion, or indifferent to the horrors unfolding in His kingdom. This pastel prison is more than an indoor gym. It is a monument to mankind’s fear of nature. It is hubris manifest.

Is it aid if I secretly train for 6-12 months and lie about it?
Magdong Meatball here, as a former pro-climber, obviously I'm super fit, and just because I've been doing months of running, cycling, and swimming training - I didn't do them together - so does that count as aid/lying for my "first" 😉 triathlon?

Went Bouldering in Australia, This Rock was Vandalized
Me and some gumby friends went bouldering in Kakadu national park but a lot of boulders were vandalized like this, even some nice cave climbs were like this or worse. I guess this really is becoming an epidemic. How dare you vandals!
