I am still SO fucking proud of this team.

Came down to some unusually bad 3-point shot luck this game versus our others. Fucking incredible to see us in the tournament and playing a team like Michigan within one shot. Never thought I'd see anything like this.

Already excited for next year.

For those who are new, buckle up for the Michigan basketball experience. We spend about 1/4 of every game looking like an unstoppable god-tier team, and 1/4 of every game looking like complete ass that will never win again. We blow 15-point leads approximately twice per game. In the end, the game will be a nerve wracking 4 point win or 4 point loss

UCSD’s vibe is “oldest guy by a decade at the pickup game.”

Crafty. Sneaky. Not GOOD in an objective sense, but you respect how much they get out of it given what they bring to the table.

Easily get the rebound, what do you do?

  1. Keep the ball inbounds?

  2. Try to bounce the ball of the opposing team’s player who is standing out of bounds?

Keep in mind you are European so maybe that plays into it

When I arrived on campus, we had been a D2 school for 5 years after spending the previous 40 years in D3. 11 years after I graduated, we decided to move to D1. Now both the men's and women's teams won the conference (men also winning the regular season) and made the tournament in their first year of eligibility. I never thought I'd see my school discussed at the CBS sports desk. Now we are tied with fucking Michigan with less than 3 minutes left.

I am SO fucking proud of this team and UCSD.

UCSD looks so freaking scared and nervous. Hopefully they can get a couple buckets soon to help em calm down. Watched them play all year and they didn’t play like this

This is why we watch March Madness. To mimic the free throw contests in the NBA.
