Does this have info on home vs away? Googling says TAMU game is in Stillwater, is that correct? If so, darn it, but still very excited to get to play OK State. I went to high school in OKC and am def looking forward to that matchup

I don’t think it does. I would imagine there’ll be a more clear graphic coming out at some point, but they did this all as a grid game on Twitter so who knows. I do hope it’s in Stillwater though, because that would be a fun game to see.

This year it’s in Stillwater, next year it’s @Texas A&M. True home-and-home

Gotta wait until 2026 for the game in CStat.

Why is OU in non conference? Why did Texas and OU have to ruin what we all held sacred

Pre-2012 BIG XII was peak. Great teams in both sports and great historic rivalries. Couldn't ask for a better conference in this part of the country.

2013-2022 was peak B12 basketball. 10 team conferences with double round robin schedules are peak, along with being the top conference according to kenpom 2014-2019 and 2022-23

But this is Fullerton's mascot?

Came here to say this. CSUF has the logo of Florida and the mascot of Bama.

I can kind of see the USF logo being letter based (U for the horns as a whole, S for the left horn, F for the right horn), but I still just see the bull.

Love the idea for the grid though!

I never put that it was letters too together. it makes it more clever to me

Not great but for a program that’s rebuilding it’s probably the right way to go. 10 wins should be the minimum goal.

I sure thought the mascot of Texas A&M was the collie dog, and the Mascot of Oklahoma was the boomer and sooner ponies.

Guess I’m mistaken

They mean mascot as in Texas A&M is the Aggies and Oklahoma is the Sooners.

*Team name, not mascot. But even that is still incorrect bc Cal State Fullerton’s nickname is Titans (though they are typically depicted as human-shaped).

I don’t understand the grid. Bethune Cookman and Nicholls state are two word schools, but not in that row.

Basically all the teams have a letter-based logo, but for some reason, only 3 appear in the column.

Tampa, phoenix, Norman, and I’m sure other cities are over 100k pop, but only KC, Tulsa, and Fullerton are in that column.

What’s the value in being “clever” like this? It would be much more helpful to just list the opponents, dates, and locations.

It seems it’s actually not an immaculate grid.

Merely by number of games being a prime number that wouldn't fit in any n by N grid, they should have cut the idea then and there.

They just posted it a few minutes ago lol

I don’t trust those mind readers at OSU.

This is awful and nonsensical. Pretty sure Evanston, College Station, Phoenix, Tampa, and Corpus all have populations over 100k.

Have you ever played an immaculate grid? The labels don’t have to apply to only the schools in their row/column

sam houston state?

u/ReachFor24 West Virginia Mountaineers 3d ago

I'd imagine in the context of D1 schools, "Sam Houston" would get the point across.

i reckon, but i mostly just wanted to ask an oklahoma state flair how theyd feel about the word state being eliminated from their own team's name

SHSU removed state from their branding a couple years ago. Not sure why tbh.

u/Pay-Homage 3d ago

Is there also a Sam Houston non-state?

Where is the state of Sam Houston anyway?
